Comment:

I liked this class a lot-he helped me figure out my career path. The main part of the course is learning how to market yourself and the capstone project. He is a definite stickler about formatting, but you have chances to fix your mistakes for full credit. Pay attention, take notes, and study for the quizzes or you'll struggle.

Comment:

This professor has some potential, but forgets that this is a required course for a lot of the students. I, and many other students in the class, are not marketing majors. He seems to forget this sometimes. He is strict on attendance and engagement, taking off for if he THINKS you are not engaged. Do not take him unless you have no other option.

Comment:

Over half of the class was using their computers for class while watching a TED talk the majority of class has seen. He counted everyone as absent and also deducted an extra point off of our attendance grades. He yelled at a student to leave the class after he fell asleep during the video, and said he's never felt more disrespected. ridiculous

I took Prof. Arn's because he was rated fairly well, no clue why. He reiterates the same basic marketing principles and tells his stories of his "impressive" career (if it was so successful I doubt he would be teaching this class so uptight). With my strong dislike toward his classes, approach toward his students being expressed, Ill admit easy A/B

The class is based on real-world application examples. Tests include knowing the definition then recognizing the term based on the real-world example. Powerpoints outline the book, with some extra added information. Test topics are straightforward.

Arns is by far one of the best professors at Lindenwood. His class is completely based on real-world application rather than memorizing definitions for tests. He has great Marketing experience, and can offer students invaluable career advice. Furthermore, he's a great guy- easy and interesting to talk to. Don't take Marketing with anyone else!

This class was a ton of fun because every day we did something different. He doesn't like to lecture and we got out of class early basically every single class. There are a few quizzes but there are study guides for them.

Professor Arns is AWESOME. Spent time after several classes to share his experience and help me figure out my career path. So helpful and very nice man. By far the best professor I've had.

He blew off class after midterms.We only did 5 of 12 assignments,sounds good,but the 7 we didn't do still had to be done bc they were part of the 30 pg capstone project that is due at finals, which we received the template & guidelines for 3 days before it was due. HW can be redone, but he didn't return our last hw from Sept until last class.

Fantastic prof. Really made the class interesting. Didn't really need the book, pay attention and go over powerpoints and you should do well on the tests. Turn in the hw on time and if you don't get a 100, he'll let you redo it.

Professor Arns is a fabulous teacher. He likes what he does and it shows in the classroom. I have taken 4 class with him throughout my college career. However, He does have a tendency to get off topic and he is not the most organized teacher. I would not advise to get him as an advisor!!!!!

The best teacher at Lindenwood. He loves what he does and does it well. I will take many more classes with professor Arns if I can. Allot of fun you get what you put into it.
