Rude and pretentious. Panders nonsensical literary theory to students in place of real social analysis

Took an intro class to get some requirements out of the way, but it ended up being my favorite course of the semester. Dr. Eng really makes students think about real life issues, and seems to be really dedicated to teaching us how to truly process what we read (rather than just regurgitating it line for line). I would recommend taking his class.

Prof.Eng was great. Try not to miss any classes, and read all the materials because if you do, the final/midterm is a breeze. There is one paper and he's an easy grader. Not much work other than reading but almost all the course materials are interestng. One warning: Lisa Lowe is impossible to understand w/o going to is lecture on it.

He's incredibly intelligent. I loved this class. He really makes you think, brngs to mind issues you've never even realized. But he doesn't like it if you keep talking bout how the class validates your own life as an asian-wants you to think outside the box. He's cool, nice but can be slightly intimidating. There wasn't a lot of classwork.

He's cool, smart, and funny most of the time, but don't piss him off or you'll be sorry. Overall, he's a good teacher but can be a little extreme in his views.

A very intelligent man who challenges everyone in the class to really think outside the box. His lectures are far more intimidating than the actual assignments that one needs to do. You will definately learn alot, but only as much as you put into the class. PS... never get on his bad side. Take one wrong turn and he wont forget it.

This was my hardest class and while I was there, I hated it because he was so demanding BUT he really is a good professor. I honestly have to say at the end of everything, I got a B and I did get alot out of that class.

Great teacher. He's a brilliant guy whos very demanding of his students. He expects that everyone comes to class, and comes prepared. He's a bubbly, nice guy in class but can be intimidating in office hours.

This guy is bad. Avoid at all costs. He makes 0 sense, and i've spoken to several people in the class to back me up. It's one of those classes where you don't learn anything, it's just a matter of how well you can bs alone the lines he wants.
