This is the sweetest prof at SMU. She is so in love with English literature and it is contagious! Her feedback is iffy at times but she does make up by being an easy marker. I took two of her classes, I took the second one because I loved her first one so much! If you're looking to get Intro to lit out of the way without suffering take it with her

She is a great teacher who is very passionate about Art. The class is easy if you take notes and do the flashcards. There is not a lot of homework: 2 field trip forms and one 3 page research paper. There are only 3 tests.

Deborah is a sweet, outgoing lady...but if you are easily bored and not into this subject you may want to find another teacher. She's really passionate about art and its funny at times. She doesnt give any homework except two easy papers about a fiel trip, and gives study guides for the 3 tests. She cares about her students her class is just boring

Class is definitely boring, treats class like elementary rather than college students. Still a very down to earth teacher, super cool and willing to work with you if you fall a little behind or are confused. Kind of a lot of work. As far as what kind of person she is, she's one of the nicest, down to earth teachers I've had.

It was as though I took sleeping pills before coming to class, only to find out that I hadn't. Don't take her class if you're easily bored. By the way, she talks to her student as if they were in middle school. (I know the majority of people take this class only to transfer, but I advise you to search for an alternative.)

So her lectures are somewhat boring & she sometimes talks to students like they're in HS but the material is doable. Using the text helps, make flash cards for sure- this is what helped me pass. She's easily impressed and is actually really nice. I would recommend her as a teacher because it's easy & you really do learn a lot.

I didn't miss one class and still got a B in her class. She goes off topic a lot with her liberal rants. Keeps you until the END of class. Two field trip essays plus one extra. Really boring class!! What do you expect from art, right?
