i took her for trig and she was so awesome. she's much older than all of my past math instructors but she totally blows all of them out the water. i left the class with an a and i wish she taught calc and every upcoming math class i need along with all the classes i need to get my degree lol. she is very clear and thorough. i highly recommend her.

She is the KINDEST, SWEETEST, and GREATEST ALGEBRA TEACHER I have ever had!! She's always there for you, her tests are really easy because they're based off the homework, it's computer-based, so it's self-paced. She gives a lecture so it's easier to understand,makes algebra much easier, The quizzes online can be taken as much as you need! TAKE HER!

Comment:

Swiderski's teaching style for Math 1000 would not be for everybody. As a driven person, I found the class very easy to do. Homework is optional, but I strongly recommend it for comprehension related to the exams.

Dropped it after 12 weeks. The class average is a 61, which should be unacceptable for a teacher, like I'm not paying to fail the class. Shes nice, but doesn't not in any way shape or form, TEACH the class. She copies down notes then expects you to understand how and why its done. Save your money. DO NOT TAKE STATS WITH HER! YOU'LL FAIL.

I am taking her computer-based class. Book is included with the class ($74 for book). Homework is not mandatory, but you best do it to understand her tests. she bases her tests off the homework. She's willing to help if you ask for it. I'm not the greatest at algebra and I wish I didn't take a computer-based class because i'd like more 1-on-1 help.

I took her class a couple semesters ago. At the times thought her class was pretty difficult because she makes you do the work and learn all the formulas, not jut memorize them. I am very glad I took her now going further into mathematics. It's making the rest of my classes easier.

this class was easy at the beginning then it got worse.her test is also like that.you must be an above average student to at least pass her class.she offer no extra credit.take this class with someone else who offer extra credit.her exams are really tricky.

If your understanding of algerbra comes naturally than take this class for it's easy and you only need to attend class for the tests and exam, and homework is not manditory. Otherwise, if you have difficulty learning algerbra there is minimul explination on how to solve the prob. Great teacher and is always willing to help.

Deb knows her stuff. If you don't have a decent understanding of previous math classes, don't take her. That being said, if you do, she's an excellent professor. I enjoyed having her for both MATH1770 and MATH2760. Do the work, don't be an idiot in class, and you'll do fine.

Take a moment to evaluate yourself because if you are a person who cannot stand redundancy or pointless work then she is NOT the teacher for you. She assigns mathlabs on top of homework from the book - each mathlab takes about 20-30 mins and homework will take just as long if not longer. IF YOU CAN'T DEDICATE THE 2 HRS OF HW THEN DON'T TAKE HER

holy goodnes this was a bad idea. she doesn't really help much during class. when somebody asks a question she just answers it with what she had just "taught"... overall a rough semester "learning" statistics. it's hard for me to pay attention to a teacher when their semester handouts aren't "what they were supposed to be"...frustrating.

I took the "computer based learning" course with her and she is awesome. Different from an online class. I personally liked it very much! you can go at your own pace, and she is there to help with any questions you may have. Study for tests, and you'll do just fine. Overall very helpful. Wants to see you do good!

By far the best math professor in MCC. Deb is passionate about her work and all lectures are relevant with the tests. She is always willing to help and her lectures are no more than 90 minutes. I recommend her if you want to learn and pass with ease.

Simply shes a good teacher and is more than willing to help out when you dont understand something. Some of her lectures can be a little confusing but bang shes right there to help. She has a great attitude, funny and understanding I would recommend taking her.
