Kinda a hard class because of the lectures and grading but, she's probably one of the best professors I've ever had. Very clear assignments and good feedback on essays. She keeps class interesting and relevant for poli sci and non poli sci majors.

this class was so unnecessarily difficult for a lower div core req. morlang is an awesome smart lady, but she treated this class like a grad-level class. probably the toughest grader i've had at this school. tests were also unnecessarily hard.

Comment:

Morlang is very helpful and understanding. Eventhough it is an intro class, don't think you are going to get an A or A- in the class. There is not much in the grade book and it is easy to not pay attention in class. Lectures can be long and way over your head, but try to participate as much as possible. Tests are doable. Supposedly 10% gets As.

Professor Morlang is the best! Not only does she have such a vibrant personality that makes her lectures more than interesting, she also is extremely helpful and ridiculously knowledgable about the subject matter. Her class wasn't unreasonably hard, but still challenging to where you would learn. One of the best in the polisci department at SCU!!

For POLI 2 I thought she was a great professor. Reading not required at all, but helps. As long as you take good notes and pay attention this is an easy class. She grades very easily/fairly. Loves it when students ask questions btw.

Great professor. She is so clear in lectures and it's obvious she is knowledgeable in her field. She knows how to read the class very well; when people are starting to get turned off by the subject, she'll figure out a way to re-amp the energy levels. All the material she teaches is very interesting and I intend to take more of her classes!

I love her! She is by far my favorite professor. She definitely knows her stuff. You can get by with a B with moderate effort but an A requires reading. She's very approachable and funny. She also advises at Drahmann so she can help you with that. If you're into European politics, take her class! She studied in Hungary so she has some great stories

She's amazing! She really knows what she is talking about and her lessons are so clear you often don't have to read to pass. If you want an A, you have read though. She is genuinely passionate about her subject and is incredibly helpful! I've decided to go into EU law because of her class.

The reason why most people find the textbooks useless is because she lectures so well with such clarity that makes the concepts so easy to understand. I honestly think Morlang is one of the most talented "Teachers" on campus bc of the way her lectures are organized. She lays out the foundations and question to prepare you to understand her points

Nice lady, but sometimes I don't think she really knows what she is lecturing about. You don't need the book at all because she covers everything during class that you'll need for tests and papers. Pretty easy class, I would definitely recommend this class to non majors.

Morlang is great! If you have the opportunity to take a class with her you should. She's helpful with material and funny too. At the end of each quarter she shows a new/recent movie that relates to the course. For this class we watched "The Spanish Apartment". She is ONE OF THE BEST Professors at SCU. Totally cool,laid back & wants you to learn.

Pretty nice professor. Not the easiest class, so you will have to work. You will learn quite a bit though. Recommend the class for History (GE) requirement.
