Very good teacher. She is very clear about what she wants, expects, and also gives good feedback that isn't demeaning in any way. She's a very nice, down to earth lady that will get your writing skills warmed up. 350 certainly had homework, but it was very easy, yet helpful. As a film major you have to take the class anyway, so just take it w her.

If you like to write, this will me a fun class. The work load it pretty easy, the final is just an 8 page treatment that you work on all semester. Very friendly and always willing to help. TAKE HER FOR THIS CLASS!

She is an amazing professor! She is caring and just an overall wonderful individual! I loved her class and how she conducted it. We watched some classic films (which I loved). We discussed a little bit about the characters in the movies and had to come up with our own movie idea by the end of the semester. No midterm or final! She's the best! :D

GREAT teacher. Very nice, helpful, and funny, and you do learn a lot from her. Only complaint I had was that she wasn't always clear about what was due and when, but her flexibility in that area made up for that. Definitely try to take her if you can.

Diane was great. Loved her screen-writing class. She was in the middle of prepping her own script for filming and still found time to include the class and respond in-class and out to any queries. Take her.

I took Prof. Ambruso in the Spring of '09 and thought she was an amazing teacher. She is very clear on what she expects, gives relevant examples in her lectures and is supportive. Her assignments are relevant to the class and she brings real world experience to the table. I would highly recommend her, I loved the class and am not an RTVF major!

I took both RTVF 100 and 350 with her, there are two ways to go with her classes either learn and get an A or dont learn and get an A or a B!!! shes the absolute best and nicest teacher to ever walk this planet! she knows a lot about RTVF and i just wish she teaches all the classes in this department! shes amazing very very easy A!

This teacher was great. I have no ambitions or interest in writing but this teacher makes the class easy. She tells you what you need to do. Just do it. A 10 page treatment is necessary but it's a lot easier than you think.

This was an easy class. Few assignments in my opinion, and she grades easy. She will help you whenever you need it. A bit unclear about specific due dates and assignments, but only because she just mentions it once and doesn't stress about it ever again. So just pay attention so you know when things are due. I had a great time in the class

She isn't perfect but she gets very, *very* close. Easily one of the best teachers in the film department. Bob Davis, Diane Ambruso and Holly Huckins are the top three for film. Take them and you will learn the most.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. I usually hate 8:30 classes but it was so easy to stay awake because she always makes the class interesting. She makes sure the class is always thinking outside the box. Take her if you can, you won't be disappointed!

Didnt really like the class...but its mandatory...so if you gotta take it...take it with her. Her quizzes are easy. The Treatment is kind of complicated so see her in her office hours and make sure you do it right before you turn it in for a grade. no final! :)

The screenplay I wrote for her Advanced Screenwriting class (a few years back) was greenlit and set on the fast track to production. She is a professional screenwriter and filmmaker with a lot to share. I'm now a paid, working filmmaker myself, thanks to her screenwriting class. You're seriously missing out if you don't take one of her classes.

Comment:

She gives extra credit & if you e-mail her throughout the semester with questions or suggestions, she values your input. She rarely follows the syllabus and isn't clear on what to study for quizzes or final. Take notes on everything, even if it has nothing to with RTVF. She is spacey at times and talks about random things but is a very nice lady.
