Comment:

I took this class in June 2012. Will bore you to DEATH! has an annoying accent which makes it impossible to listen and pay attention. People say sitting in front helps but that still didnt help. He goes off tangent often and then tries to relate that to class material. Exams come from is imagination coz nothing we learned ever gets put on the exam!

Comment:

Seriously one of the best teachers I've had. I have absolutely no interest in geology and he made it interesting. The lectures go by quickly and he always makes sure to ask if the class has any questions for him so he can help. The lecture slides and tests are straight out of the textbook and are very easy to follow.

Comment:

He does take attendance. But if you go to class every week and take notes, it'll be easy to pass the class. The tests are based on the lectures he gives. He does help you if you just ask for help. But I think the way he explains things makes sense already. If you have a problem with his accent then I advise you to sit in the front.

Hard to understand talks to you like you know every single geological term. Keeps you in the whole time and becomes a jerk during tests.

Not a good teacher. Tests dont reflect what you've learned in class. Must read the book if you want to get a good grade on the test. Keeps you in the whole time. Hard to understand. Goes off on tangents...Doesn't complete all material that is suppose to be completed throughout the semester. Not a good teacher.

Not the greatest professor on the planet. I guess he's not a bad guy. He can be funny at times but overall, his class is boring and it feels like he wants to rush you through the material just so he could fit things on a test. Don't avoid him but take other professors if you get a chance.

He is a nice guy. I got an A in his class by showing up every class session and taking all the notes(available on his website too) and studying chapters in book. There is A LOT of studying to do by yourself. Very self motivated class. At end of semester he gave 1% increase in grade for everytime you signed roll sheet.

His lectures are very boring. He takes roll every week, but doesn't pass around the roll sheet until 9pm. His tests are difficult to study for since he gives no guidance on what to study.
