I was so nervous about taking this class because its public speaking, however Pror. Walker made this class fun, she's down to earth, would take her again, there were 3 speeches, I will say the speech giving part doesn't get easier, at least not for me but I am glad I took her class.

She is a really great teacher but the assignments can be challenging. 3 out of class essay exams, one research essay on a president, and a final out of class paper. she really cares for her students. She will go out of her way to help you if you show you really want to be successful in the class. If you love a challenge, take her. Loved her!

I got a 104 on the first test and a 109 on the second test. This was the easiest and most entertaining A I ever earned. She kicks ass. I just wish I took her for Amh2010 and POS2041.

At first, you might feel skeptical about being in her class. Though she is a great teacher, never comes to class in a bad mood, and really knows her stuff. You're guaranteed to pass as long as you come to class and pay attention, but she makes it interesting and worth listening too. She EXPECTS you to read, but it's hardly necessary.

I can't think of a smarter teacher I have had. Not only in history and politics either. She's very interested in the world and has some great opinions. The way she explains things is so much fun! She has this way of taking away all preconceived notions about the way things were and giving them back in such a logical way.

Ms. Waller is Awesome! I was NOT looking forward to taking this politics class but she made it interesteing and fun. She is very helpful and friendly. She wants you to do well! There's a lot of writing in this class! And you benefit from reading the books- but she has great study sessions before the tests.

Prof. Waller is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I had no interest in history before taking this class and now I LOVE it. She is not only a wonderful teacher, but a great person who is down to earth. She is VERY helpful on her office hours and is always willing to chat. She's not easy, but she makes it totally worth the work! TAKE HER!

I love Ms. Waller. Besides being hilarious, she is extremely easy to get along with and always in a good mood. I never thought the Civil War could be so interesting but this became my favorite class by far. She might be my favorite teacher at Santa Fe. No busywork--only several big, in-depth papers. Definitely take her classes!!!

Donna Waller is a wonderful teacher. To all those people not interested in the course and want to stay in the course, give her a chance. She is very knowledgeable. Great Professor! Not sure why there are negative comments on here for her. The only reason to write a negative comment is because you got a bad grade. She is a very interesting person and literally knows everything about history. If you love history, take her. If you don't love history, take her. Great teacher all around. She is fair in grading.

Ms. Waller is an excellent History teacher. She knows SO much about History she's like a walking encyclopedia. Her tests can be challenging, I would recommend making flash cards and giving them to her to review the info you have. She is funny and fair, definitely take her she loves her job and you can tell as a student.

I really like Mrs. Waller as a person, but in class, she skips around a lot. Your final grade is based on 3 tests (each are 40 mc questions and one essay) and two papers, so there isn't really much room for mess ups. Definitely don't slack or you will fall behind. She offers suggestions and help, but if you procrastinate, dont take this class.

Kind, friendly, & helpful. Cares about her student's success. Holds review sessions before the tests on her time. The book essay was tough b/c I procrastinated. Annoying when it was 15-minutes after class began & she hadn't gotten to the material. Likes to chat with her students. Read the book & attended most classes. I learned so much!

Mrs. Waller was the best teacher I've ever had. The thing I most respect about her teaching is the fact that she teaches history OBJECTIVELY, something I appreciate greatly. Tests are easy if you study the vocab sheet she gives you a cpl weeks b4 the test. Gives you ample amounts of time to get the work done, just don't slack off and you'll succeed

GREAT teacher! Understands that not everyone is interested in the subject. Tests are not super easy, but she gives a study guide for each one. You MUST MUST MUST read the chapters on your own to get a good grade. Gives LOTS of extra credit. Super sweet and understanding. Makes the class very fun and current. Highly Recommend.
