The worst teacher I've ever had. and he failed a lot of people who worked really hard in his class. Please don't even think of TAKING his class. As an A student, I never had an F in my life until I got to his class.

Doesn't provide examples when explaining. Teaches you exactly what the textbook says but doesn't go over what to do in terms of solving a problem

Very nice teacher, he is willing to help you outside of class. His lectures may be boring and is sometimes unclear when explaining concepts but he is fair when grading tests and will even gave an extra credit quiz. Go to his office hours and he will try his best to help you.

He's actually a good teacher he wants the class to do well. His tests are pretty straight forward and if the class does poorly he will give a bonus quiz to help you make up the points. Lecture was not mandatory but he would occasionally collect homework to grade. If you study and actually do the homework you should be able to pass fairly easily.

Extremely tough, grades hard, and gives very little extra credit, he is also very arrogant, once he makes his mind about something he is unwilling to change. Tests are extremely tough, and he expects you to know everything before he even gives example of the lesson, he also in not clear about the examples and does basic problems, comared to the Hw.

Attendance not mandatory but collects hw about every other day randomly. class is 500 pnts-hw is 80(each hw is 10pnt-8 highest hw grades r the 80pnt). 3 midterms 100pnt each. final 120pnt. gave extra credit quiz. spends 1st half of class answering questions on hw frm night b4. day b4 each test takes time to answer any q's. WOULD TAKE AGAIN! DO HW!!

He's not easy. Need to do HomeWork(HW) and study for exams. Ask questions, office hours are better as it's hard to catch him after class. Does not take up all HW and does not count all that are taken up. Wants you to pass: if class had a bad exam (he had 4 exams) will do a quiz to make up points. Study and do HW. Put in the effort and will pass.

Homework, not mandatory but is the basis for weekly quizzes. Gave 2 extra credit quizzes. Dropped 3 of your lowest quiz scores. 4 exams total. I took it in high school, so I just walked through the class. If no experience, concepts are gonna be hard to grasp from his lectures, need to ask questions for full understanding, knowledgeable and helpful.

He grades very tough. In his lectures he goes over the same example problems in the book which i hated. He teaches you the absolute minimum then expects you to learn all the rest at home. He's smart but not sympathetic and makes the test hard. If taking the class i suggest visiting his office hours everyday to actually get a full lecture.

pretty easy and straight forward professor. everyday at the beginning of the class you can ask about homework. sometimes he can be condescending but its funny when he is. I got an A in his class. gives extra credit once in a while. Do your homework and study and you will do fine.

Marsh is a very straight forward teacher, class wasn't mandatory, neither was homework (but if you didn't do it before the quiz you'd assuredly fail). He gets really excited when introducing new topics or solving problems, and it kept me interested in the class. He also has very dry humor. The class was difficult but he left no question unanswered.

I've already taken a class that was of a much higher level then this but objectively he was a good teacher. He's fairly interesting to listen to so it's not to bad of a class.

I'm biased, ill say that first - I already had a precalculus class in high school and I enjoy math. This class, simply put, was straightforward. You get daily homework, if you do it, you will pass your weekly quizzes with ease. And then if you review before your tests, you will pass those with ease. It's math, it takes time and practice.

He talks like George dubby yuh Bush! All of his tests were handwritten and he wrote them the day before we had the test so there was not any study guides. Does not do multiple choice. By handwritten I mean he wrote them on a piece of paper and made copies for us. Knows his material and will answer any questions thoroughly. Grades hard tho.

You can pass this class if you keep tabs how he tests. I failed the first test, but after that learned how he tests, and then I just read the text and knew what he'd ask for. He's not helpful, and assigns hw for busywork. I never did hw. He is not nice, but this class is PASSABLE.

Professor Marsh is a quality teacher who takes the time to answer homework questions the day after assigning them to his students. He also gives students the one-on-one help they need to understand material that they do not understand in class. I was thoroughly impressed with him. If you want to be challenged and be ready for 107B, take him.

yes, yes, a and B. I had an unknown prof for B and who walks through but MAAAAAAAARSH. Jesus god was i devastated. only class through my four years of college that i didn't pass was 107b the first time. He is worse than arrogant, cares only about a paycheck and does very little to encourage the students to care about learning. Especially considering hes teaching mostly future teachers in these classes, ridiculous. Worst at sac state

He is horrible and is not helpful at ALL!!!! If you are close to passing he will not give you any points to help push you over. He is very unclear and confusing and he laughs at the students. He talks like bush..
