Unsure of what to say. If your interest is in getting an A I wouldnt take him. I achieved the highest grades in the class by a solid amount and unfortunately still ended with a B+. He does not curve or anything if you are the highest and told me because I talked very little he couldnt help me too much. Good news is if you are F student you pass.

THIS MAN IS A GIFT TO ALL STUDENTS! He has stated that he does not want to see any of his students fail and will work with you to give you any grade you need in order to pass. Though his lectures are long and you don't get a break, it is such an easy class to pass. Only 3 exams, no homework, and a paper that can just be bullet pointed. TAKE HIM!!!!

didnt really help the class with material outside of lectures. review notes would be nice because we honestly had no idea what would be on tests and he would only review 5 minutes before a one. shouldve honestly dropped this class because hes so poor at teaching and is such a tough grader but whatever. definitely would not suggest him!

Pro:This professor has a sense of humour and you dont need the textbook. Everything you'll need for your notes will be orally given so you wont have to spend your money at the book store. Con:His perspective on philosophy is very narrow and he's not open to hearing positions on phil. that challenge his perspective.

Overall a good professor. He literally lectures the whole time so it gets a little boring. Goes over the test right before you take it so as long as you pay attention during that time it is super easy to pass. Gave me a good grade and likes when people participate

This Professor is the best! You do not need the textbook. He makes jokes the whole class. He does take attendance every class. He goes over his test right before he gives it to you. 2 short essays on whatever chapter you want and you have all semester to hand them in. That is the only homework!

Great Professor! Every class is on a different topic and he sits on the desk in the front and talks the whole time, encouraging participation. He is HILARIOUS, and it is easy to participate and understand his analogies and examples. Tests were all true/false and I got an A on all of them mostly because he goes over them all right before.

This guy is hilarious, worth taking his class for this reason alone. Really nice guy, very understanding and willing to work with you to help you succeed. He very clearly reviews before all tests, and as long as you have basic logic and reasoning capabilities you will do absolutely fine. Did I mention he's hilarious? Will definitely make you laugh!

Talks during the whole class. You should participate- makes the class go by faster. You can leave early but the tests ends up being only essay questions- stay the whole class so you have something to write. You don't really need the textbook unless you're not familiar with medical ethics. MUST ATTEND CLASSES to pass. Easy grader.

His class is a lecture. No notes. Just him talking to the class. 3 essay tests including the final that are easy if you read the text. No hw. Participation is worth a test grade (25%). I received B's for my tests and he gave me a C+ for the class. I argued with him and he told me if I particiapted he would of given me a B.

He's a good guy. He likes to hear himself talk. I have a lot to say but he doesn't like to call on people, even tho participation is 25%. 3 tests-he gives you several questions and you pick 2 to answer in essay. We get out early, at the expense of no break. He just wants to see you try.

I hate this class. Participation is 25% of the grade but he won't let me talk. I have my hand raised, he makes eye contact, and calls on someone else. Awful.

I took Biomedical Ethics with Professor Miller. He's a very nice man. At first I was afraid of how the class would go, but his tests are very easy essay questions and that is all the work you have to do all semester! Easy A!!!

Comment:
If you're willing to learn the material on your own you'll probably do well. He's not very clear and his examples are very hard to follow. Taking notes in his class is difficult because of the many times that he goes completely off topic. Graded only on participation and 4 tests it can be difficult to raise your grade.
