Comment:

Lays a lot of information on you per class. It personally overwhelmed me, but I can see how others can appreciate his style. Fairly lenient grader, leaves lots of opportunities to pick yourself back up if you're falling behind. Comedic. He will not check to see if you're actually still with him. He'll present the info to you. Its up to you to focus

Comment:

He's a very smart guy and a great teacher. However, he teaches the material a little too fast and pretty directly from the textbook, which is a problem since the textbook we used isn't very good. I would have gotten a lot more out of this class if we moved at a slower pace. But overall, he isn't too bad and not too hard.

Funny guy, pretty direct from the textbook. For tests, copy the formulas from the book onto paper and look for things to simplify and you should be fine. Teaches the subject for what it is.

I feel I would've gotten much more out of his class if he didn't lecture off power point slides for hours on end. Labs are easy but tend to be mostly busy work and plugging in data. You need to study for the quizzes and do the homework. Overall I would only recommend him if you have a real interest in astrophysics otherwise take someone else.

Very personable guy. Great lectures; involves students and presents the info very clearly. HW is done online and is due on average of every two weeks. Quiz/Test every 3-4 weeks. Night Lab is actually kind of fun and often lets you out early. Don't be surprised if you run into him somewhere in Glassboro and share a drink with him.

He is the coolest prof i hv com across.hands out really easy grades to his students but u will learn a lot too.I m a business major but i learned a lot frm his class and alwys looked forward to attending it.You will never get a better class than this in Rowan. trust me!

this class what everything BUT what i thought it was going to be. guerra's cool to joke around with but when it comes to teaching he moves really fast. if you have some background of the info it'd be easier. his quizes are really hard but the big tests are easy. labs are pointless, boring, but really easy. the class isn't an easy A with guerra.

I love this man. He was by far one the best professors I've ever had. Even though the subject is already interesting, he makes it even better. I learned so much in this class and even miss it. Wish I could take it again. Definately take it!

Had him for a 4 hour/4 day a week summer class, and he kept me pretty interested the entire time. Tends to talk over the non-science students heads. Tests aren't too bad, and he grades pretty lightly. Not the easy A it could be, but not too bad.

I am not a science major (I'm business), and I absolutely loved his astronomy class. I actually looked forward to going to class everyday because I wanted to learn more. You will never take a better class at Rowan!

excellent class, possibly the most fun i've had at Rowan...if you enjoy learning about things beyond earth, this guy is a great professor to take. he can be hard and very challenging, but it's rewarding, even for a non-major.
