i dont know what everyone else is talking about, but diamond is a fine professor. she is passionate about drama, and if you keep up with the reading of the plays (it wasnt even that much reading), just prepare to discuss in class and you will do fine. there were only 8 people in my class and she didnt give any of us problems. I would take her again

I've never had a teacher as condescending as her in all my years in school. Best not to get on her bad side- she won't treat you like a decent human being. She is intelligent and well spoken but what full time professor isn't? Her awful personality really negates any redeeming attributes. Don't take her unless you're prepared for mind games!!!

This was the first teacher I had since 5th grade who took the time on the first day of class to seat all 65 students in alphabetical order (this lasted 3 days). She is definitely brilliant in what she teaches, but expects her students to somehow be on her level from day one. She tends to be condescending and belittling. Lacks any compassion.

Two words to describe this woman: heartless witch. I'm not some jilted student, bitter because I didn't do well in her class - I got an A, in fact. But Elin Diamond is by far the nastiest, most arrogant professor I had in my four years at Rutgers. She is utterly devoid of anything resembling human kindness.

So what if she is smart. Isn't that a given with a full professor? She is egotistical and has poor impulse control. She will try to humiliate you if she dislikes you. Be warned, she does not like mature students. Her grading reflects her biases. She is partial to actors. If you are a theater student she will give you a lot more latitude.

Prof. Diamond is a brilliant professor. She challenges her students to go beyond the norms. Her passion for the subject makes the class exciting and interesting. The readings were great but you must do them in order to succeed in her class; be warned she will call you out. With some work an A is do-able, but you have to think outside the box.

Extremely knowledgeable in all areas of Theatre and Art. She'll relies on class participation heavily, so make sure you READ! Very fair grader, and will usually grader higher if you volunteer answers in class--whether right or wrong.

very smart teacher with a passion for drama. go to class, because she'll notice if you're not there. only a few graded assigns, so try to come up with an interesting topic for your papers and it'll probably work out. Like every other english course, if you did well in expos, then you'll do well here.
