This woman... How do I describe her? Awful teacher. Treats you like a kindergardener and gives you assigned seats. Condescending, the book she uses is ridiculous, very soft spoken, fairly easy grader if you follow the rubric. Didn't give the professor review at the end of the semester. Don't take her.

Over all she contradicted herself with grading criteria with different people but since it was all subjective it was hard to prove. Also be sure to follow rubrics & deadlines EXACTLY or you'll lose points keep copies of everything just in case to prove stuff was handed in correctly. She cares about teaching so that is 1/2 the battle Got an A

Strict grader, and even stricter attendance policy. If you have to miss one presentation because of anything other than a "documented emergency" she won't let you reschedule, even if it's while another group is presenting, and odd are you're going to fail the class. Assigned seats, and will make you change your topic if she doesn't like it.

Her class isn't that hard, but she's very uptight. Attendance and restroom policy is absolutely ridiculous. You can only miss 3 classes, or else you'll fail. You also are not allowed to go to the bathroom. Often times very condescending to students. Harsh grader.

I LOVE Emily Jensen! I have had her for two English courses, but Ethnic American Literature was by far the better. Her class is wonderful if you are actually interested in learning and challenging yourself to become a better writer. She's kind and attentive and became a mentor for me. She also writes beautiful letters of recommendation!

One of the worst teachers I have ever dealt with. The workload is far too demanding for any full time student, or even part time. Unless this is the only class you are taking, and you have no other responsibilities, avoid her as if she were the plague!

Avoid her at all costs. Honestly the worst English teacher I've ever had. She's very boring. She has the worst restroom and attendance policies. She always has to be correct about everything. However if anyone does take her class, make sure it will be the only class you take because of all the work she gives you.

her opinion is the only one that will ever be correct, she has impossible office hours, gives way more work then any other english teacher i've ever had. Oh, and unless your her favorite/write your 300pt paper using what she likes/her opinion on things, 90% chance you'll fail the paper. shes horrible, i'll never take one of her classes again

Stay away from her class, she is not a bad person (but her polices in terms of attendance are absurd). Also she gives more homework and essays that any other college course I have ever taken (and I have taken many). If you are a good student who wants to lower you GPA, than this is the class for you.

She discusses things very well after we do the assignments, that is the part i like of class. ALTHOUGH, i HATE that she is not specific with directions for papers all the time. She is annoying about the attendance. Some papers are interesting to write, some are NOT.dont expect emails back from her, she rarely response to anything. CHANGE TEACHERS!

Worst professor ever. Extremely insensitive; apparently my personal day that I took because I found out my little brother had cancer was not a legit enough excuse to be excused from class. She rarely takes doc's notes as proof of absence. Ridiculous amount of hw. I missed one test, got A's or B's on all the speeches and she gave me a C. Avoid her!!

More excellent students have failed her class for no reason. Straight A students have failed because of her impossible expectations that you should 1. never miss a class even if you are hospitilized or your car breaks down 2. never have to pee during her class. The work is pretty easy, but you can almost never make up and work. Get a better teacher

On the first day we had assigned seats. I had a doctors note and she would not let me use it. I needed to use the bathroom and she would not ler me leave. I wanted to do a speech on how to give an interview since she wanted us to pertain it to our major and she would not let me. Overall she is an awful teacher.
