He loves to chastise his students. If you're not as intelligent as he is, he insults your intellect and claims you just want to snowboard, not study. It makes it very difficult to ask questions for fear of being insulted. But, he does know what he teaches even though he is exceptionally biased.

Instead of giving you a well rounded view of history, Love gives you a lecture deeply based in his bias towards African-American culture. Tests measure how much you agree with his interpretation of history and not the actual facts of history. Lectures are monotone and long, with minimal class engagement. Don't take a class with him.

Comment:
Great teacher who really helped me learn to think critically in History. Very passionate and has very enjoyable class. I do wish I had engaged myself more in the class while attendance wasn't mandatory. You can learn a lot from this professor and not just about the subject being taught.

I've taken two courses with Prof. Love and I don't understand some of these other comments. A Professor who has a lot to say? What does this guy want? A professor with nothing to say? And anyone who says that a professor has a grudge against a particular student (in a class of over 200) is just looking for an excuse for his own bad performance.
