This is honestly the worst class I have ever taken, and not only that she is disrespectful to students and makes comments she shouldn't. I would not recommend this class and I would never take it again. I learned absolutely nothing besides her life story.

She mostly gives A's & B's so don't work too hard. Assigns tons of reading. Very disorganized. Don't expect to learn anything in class. & if you don't share her politicalsocial agenda, watch out! This should be an online course. Takes attendance because otherwise nobody shows to class. Disregard syllabus; requirements change every other week.

Would not take again. Extremely disorganized and unclear about what she wants. Provides lots of extra credit opportunities. Does take attendance, so it does count. Class does feel like a massive waste of time though because she just jumps from topic to topic about whatever she feels like talking about. The readings for this course are DENSE.

She is the absolute worst professor I have ever had. Constantly off topic, rants about personal interests and does not teach what is needed for the tests. The exams are take home but requires a lot of self teaching do to her absolute disregard for stricter and organization. AWFUL! do not take!

First of all it's Ester, and she is phenomenal. Trust me when I say this, she will open your eyes! I do agree she may be off topic at times, but she has a point! She will help you immensely esp if you don't know what you want to do after you graduate, even though you should have some idea. Oh and did I forget to mention she is super smart!!!

Esther is an awesome teacher. She does tend to talk about random topics in class, however she is very understanding and willing to help you out based on any questions you have and is interested in your future and career! She is hilarious and sweet!

This professor is HORRIBLE. She doesn't teach. She just talks about random subjects for the entire class, then gives very involved take home essays as her "test." She does not teach, but expects you to know your stuff for her take home essays. She constantly talks about herself and her book. DO NOT TAKE HER. TERRIBLE CLASS!!

STAY AWAY! She is the worst prof. I've encountered, and I'm graduating! Tries to push HER agenda on you, self-absorbed, scatter-brained, loves 4 elite students everyone else she is awful to. Too much reading to be reasonable and the journals are even worse. Tries to get you "prepared" but I just want out!

Ester is unorganized and hard to understand at times. But she is also one of the most helpful professors I have had at UMB and her class is very interesting. Prof can be compassionate when students are distressed, but she is also extremely judgmental of the psych profession. She is generally ineffective, off-topic, self-absorbed, and disorganized. Despite student interest in learning, very little information was actually received.

Ester is an interesting woman. She is incredibly intelligent, passionate, and has done a lot of great work to make the world a better place. She is in her own head a lot, though; she is disorganized and all over the place, and there is a LOT of reading/work. But she'll help you as much as she can as long as you show that you want to learn.

Very Passionate and a great inspirational professor-I was able to get a lot out of the class but be prepared for TONS of reading and working hard on your writing & project. Overall I liked the course but was a tough one. Not for the "weak" at heart as professor is VERY honest and you must stay on top of course content at all times.
