There will be 10 assignments which are kinda hard, be prepared to use time on it. Exams will require you to recite proofs. Other questions are in the same difficulty level as assignments. Doing exercises behind his notes definitely helps. His notes are good and be sure to sit in the first or second row in the class to hear his comments on topics.

Clear and concise lecturer. Follows his own textbook/course notes that he has written and perfected over the years. Memorize virtually every major proof in the course and you're sure to get an A. Gives a lot of bonus marks on both the midterm and the final so it's actually not that hard to do well.

The material in his course is extremely difficult. The assignments are also very hard to complete. You need to put a lot of time into his class. His tests are based on his course notes and assignments so make sure to know as much as possible as there are many complicated proofs. The final examine he gave was fair for the difficulty of the course

Took Hon. Algebra 3 and Algebra 4 with him. Assignments are very difficult but not worth much. Make sure you memorize literally every proof and application, for the midterm and final. Do lots of exercises in Dummit and Foote. Very helpful if you ask, either in person or even via email. You need to put in the work to do well though.

Amazing notes. Makes an abstract subject seem clear if you are willing to spend the time to study. Also the online notes make missing a class not as bad as it could be in such a subject. Classes definitely help with understanding so it's worth waking up for them.

great note, and they're online which is wonderful for an 8:30 class. assignments give good indication of what will be on the tests. there are lots of proofs, but that's the subject of the course, not his fault. when he does them he tries to make them clear and logical (and easy to reproduce)

He asks to know by heart every proofs, not the best approach in math teaching in my opinion. All he does during the semester is to copy his notes on the board. Very few class interactions. He could teach in a different way that would be more time-effective for the students.

So good. It's not his fault that the class is at 8:35 and everyone is falling asleep. Very clear, very helpful, want everyone to get an A. The midterm was killing, the final was not hard.
