Unorganized, grades inconsistently, is tempermental. Exams are mutliple choice, short answer definitions, and short essays - very difficult due to excessive information and his grading does not help. Avoid this professor and his class if you can!

I would take him in a smaller class size. He is a really fascinating professor and has a lot to teach outside of the textbook. If you want a normal class experience, take a different professor. He reads direct definitions but goes off on tangents about interesting and thought-provoking topics. Read the textbook and pay attention to definitions.

I was nervous to take Dr. Hills class due to everyones comments, but I'm glad I did! I absolutely loved him as a professor. He tells you exactly how he wants assignments done, and as long as you follow guidelines you will do good! Test aren't hard if you're in class and actually study the key terms he gives you. GO TO THE TUTORIALS HE OFFERS!!

Awesome person, terrible prof. Had 4 different versions of the syllabus because he couldnt keep to the schedule. There was always confusions with when things were due. HE LOST OUR EXAM. He talks too much. Does not use tech in class. Purely based on him talking, and he always gets off topic. I do not recommend. Its frustrating.

I am currently in Dr. Hill's class, so far the syllabus has been revised four different times. He lectures off of the book and even reads word for words out of it. We are graded over 3 precise and 4 exams. He assigns about 35 different key terms as a study guide, but on the actual exam he chooses about 15. The definitions are long and complex.

Dr. Hill would be great to have as maybe like your grandpa but not as a professor. He tells great stories but they have literally nothing to do with the class. I learned more about his personal life than I did about anything in the book. He was constantly late to class even on test days. Would take again just to learn about his life.

It's time to RETIRE! Forgets due dates, loses papers, late to exams. Changes syllabus mid semester. Hard tests, poor study guide, write entire definition of vocab on exam. Reads straight from book, learned more of his personal life. Entire class unhappy & failing. I was a 4.0 student until this class. DISAPPOINTED! RUN AWAY NOW OR FAIL MISERABLY

His lectures consist of him reading out of the book and rambling, often on off topic subjects. His directions are often very unclear and he will still give you a lower grade even if the entire class doesn't understand them. Your papers or tests take weeks to get graded. He also has shown repeatedly that he doesn't care about you or your grade. 0/5

I think the man is a good man, just not a good teacher. His lecture is him reading out of the book, which I could do by myself. He only has Précis and tests. Unclear in what he wants, changes syllabus a lot, postpones a lot, is late to class and often forgets everything the class has been doing. Above all, impatient and short tempered.

All he does is lecture for the class duration and most of the time he goes on tangents between every other sentence so you have to pay attention to understand the material. Tests are very difficult however he offers extra credit to make up for the lower grades and grades his 3 essays of the year pretty leniently.

Dr. Hill is an incredible professor! I've taken him for 3 courses and wish I could do more. His lectures and stories have a way of providing great examples and real life application to the information being taught. Vocab is a pretty big deal to him on hist test, but as long as you study you're fine. Buy the book and do the extra credit offered.

Totally unclear, he didn't even follow his own syllabus. Postpones tests, basically reads from the book during lectures. He asked us to memorize dozens of vocabulary definitions (word for word) in order to do well on the tests. I learned nothing from his class, DO NOT take him!! I wish someone would've been honest with me before I took his class.

I had Dr Hill for 3 classes last semester (Personality, Child Psychopathology, and Clinical) and I loved him. His lectures are really interesting but when it came to the exams, all I did was memorize the vocabulary (word for word) and I made all A's. All of his classes assign a 10-page paper, but as long as it's the right length, you'll get an A.

I adore Dr. Hill so much! Had 4 classes with him and the tests are always the same format! He lectures for the entire class, but he has so much experience that it's worth paying attention to. His stories tie into the short essays on the tests! There is a ten page paper due each semester, don't wait until the last minute to get it done!

Kind of long winded. Veers off topic a lot, but he is funny to listen to. Ironically, doesn't have a lot to say in terms of help if you go to his office. Read the text book and you should be fine. He grades the term papers based on structure, not content. Class time seems a bit disorganized, but he knows what he is talking about.

If you can, take this class in the SUMMER. You'll be very glad - NO PAPER TO WRITE! Read the chapters (yes, they are long) before class/lectures. Take notes. Do any extra credit assigned, and go to class. If you attend regularly, he'll curve your grade. Humorous, wry, curses a lot, but a decent professor. EASY!!!

This class should be interesting, but Dr. Hill makes it so boring. He just sits infront of the class and reads from the book and goes off topic easily. It is easy, but you have to teach yourself.

If you want a teacher that sits at the front of the class and literally reads straight from the textbook, this is the class for you! He seems lazy in his teaching and literally wants you to know the book line by line. ALL of his grading is done by his TA who grades short essay harshly.

Took Dr. Hill for Abnormal Psych and Personality. He is hands down the best professor I have ever had. His class is hard. You HAVE to study, but you will retain the information. I still remember everything from 6 years ago. Great teacher. Great quality.

The absolute best instructor I've ever had, wish I'd had him as an undergrad. The man is a seemingly endless fountain of knowledge and his stories of real-world incidents all tie in to the class. He expects a lot from his students (you really need to do the readings before class) but he understands real life happens. I strongly recommend this class
