Comment:

Dr. Leazes truly knows his stuff. His class was overall a great one. He doesn't use powerpoint presentations for lectures, however, when he teaches, he is very clear. Lots of group work, which is actually fun. Three exams plus a final with questions from previous exams. A paper for each exam. Not too difficult. Simple homework. Top choice!

Comment:

He does go off on some tangents but I think he is a great guy and loves sharing what he knows with his students. Doesn't shove his political beliefs down your throat. Easy grader. He gives a lot of pretty simple homework assignments, just do what he asks and you'll get full credit. Exams are straight from the book and nothing to do with lectures.

Went on a ton of tangents... a majority of them were wrong. He is not well informed.. Easily he picks favorites in the class and it shows with how he grades each paper.... Once even got a test question right he marked it right but the girl next to me he marked right with the SAME answer. Avoid if you can otherwise just show up and do the work.

Nice guy, but his class was a drag because he went on SO MANY tangents. No one had a clue when anything was due because the syallabus was always changing and we fell further behind. He does care about his students and you will become a better writer because of him, but he needs to work on how he structures his lectures

Leazes is an amazing role model to me. He has helped me as my adviser and as my teacher. I would highly recommend him, but he will make you work. Show up and put the effort in and you'll get a good grade. He is sarcastic, but its funny, he doesn't take life too seriously.

Al in all a great professor. His lectures can drag on a bit but he peppers in some occasional good jokes. His classes aren't easy but you will definitely leave knowing you have learned something, he is not a tough grader either.

Professor Leazes is a GREAT teacher. I would definitely recommend taking his course. You need the book to pass, but he's a really fair grader. you get what you earn. He like all your assignments to be typed. Exams are all multiple choice for POL 202, except easy essays. He's lenient and willing to help you.

One of my favorite professors of all time. If you need help, he'll give it you but don't wait too long before asking him. The exams are decent, do the readings. Paper is based off a topic he will go over in class with you.

He is hands down the most awesome professor at RIC!!! He is a fair grader, understanding, and will give you a break when you need it. I look forward to taking another course with him!!! He knows what he's doing and is always available to answer questions in or out of class. Would recommend!!

Really interesting class, he always keeps you thinking and debating. Never follows syllabus and is all over the place when it comes to assignments- you will be working on 3 papers and 2 projects at the same time. Overall a god professor but should be a bit more organized.

I've reviewed this Prof for another class, but after reading the most current rating I was compelled to write second review. Obviously they did not put in the effort. Leazes is tops, but he expects hard work and top quality product. Highly recommended.

Cocky professor who loves to be right. Does not follow the syllabus. Would not recommend Leazes to anyone in their right mind. His teaching is incoherent.
