The class may find boring but if you go through the notes he give and the h.w you do you will get an A. Revise the exam papers and quizzes very well before each exam. you will get an A. I am taking this guy again in fall.

He might have been a great teacher back in the day but not anymore. Havent learned anything in the two semesters of taking him. Even grad students will tell you not to take him and take someone else! Only grade is 4 test, and a final, which hurts if dont do good on each. Take a different professor!!

Dr. Koknat is my favorite professor. He is clear in all of his examples but he expects you to work for your grade. If possible take his recitation class it saves my butt! Hes a great teacher and a good guy. 100% recommend taking his class.

Hands down the easiest professor I have ever had. If you've ever had Chem in high school I would recommend just refreshing yourself on the material by doing the practice tests. I didn't go to lecture at all and finished with a 94 in the class. Make sure you the lab report at the end of the lab section seriously though.

KOKNAT IS THE MAN!!! Hands down, best science professor I've had at YSU (been going for 5 years now). Presents material clearly and goes through a ton of problems, very helpful. His jokes are the greatest. I will deeply miss having class with this legendary guy!

"Take a minute to take a sip of your beer or coffee mug" Keeping up is the most work. You have to come to class though, practice tests that he offers are almost exactly like the exams but different numbers. Awesome guy. Very sweet old man

Great teacher, makes learning a lot of fun and teaches at a level that is very easy to understand. Take notes, do the homework, and the practice exams and you should pass the class. I am taking Chemistry 1516 with him because he was such a good professor.

Dr. Koknat is the bomb! I hated chemistry before I took this class... He is very funny but also explains everything very well. Mainly everything on the exams is Math and problems. He also teaches a recition which was very helpful! Practice exams are just like the exams given in class! Never used the book so don't bother buying it! =)

LOVE HIM!!! He explains things well. His accent is not hard to understand, especially if you sit in the front. He makes things fun. He loves alcohol lol I could sit in his class all day. I definitely recommend him to anyone wishing to take gen chem 1

What a wonderful teacher and a great guy.. He explains the material clearly, tho has an accent and bad handwriting so sometimes difficult to follow.. But he gives so many examples u'd have to be half-retarded not to understand him, plus he jokes around and makes chemistry fun - overall just a great teacher

Good teacher. Made material easy and the tests arent bad at all as long as you do the practice sets. He keeps class enjoyable as well. Also, he is willing to help students after class. Take him.
