Comment:

This was a tough class for me. Though I enjoy Professor Decker's personality and enthusiasm, I did not enjoy the class. Very test heavy. Very difficult tests. It seems like the lectures are just filler compared to the vast amount of material we are supposed to know from the textbook in order to pass the few tests we take.

I love G-Decks but his class is painful at 9am. The lectures are slides in the dark and it's hard to keep your eyes open. The labs are amazing thought and you learn a lot. Exams are super easy.

GDeck is the cutest old man- but a very dry teacher... definitely try and stay awake though, because he says really funny things. A boring class- make sure you get the handed-down notes emailed to you. Easy class- Labs are fun! I did lights and scene shop. :)

Comment:

Wonderful guy, inherently boring subject. I had a hard time focusing on hour-and-a-half lectures about various types of paint. If you have to take this class, make sure you either take good notes or get them from someone else. Otherwise, exams will be a pain. Oh, and the labs are really fun. I had electrics with Mark and scenery with Rich.

Funniest guy ever. It's an early class, so he'll put you to sleep if you're not careful, but if you pay attention you'll have some great quotes. "Lighting is very important in theatre...without lights, it's pretty dark in there."
