Attendance is not mandatory, however, you wont pass the class if you don't show up for class. His test are exactly like his classroom handout sheets. The only way to fail this class is to not try. You are graded only for 3 tests. No quizzes or homework. Unfortunately, Dr. Thibadoux passed away from a heart attack. I wish his family the best of luck

I gave Professor Thibadoux a 5 only because of how easy his class is but he is not good at teaching. He sits behind a table the entire class and you walk up to pick up multiple hand outs which you go back to your seat and work on until almost the end of class. Which he will then get up and quickly go over the answers. These hand outs are the test

He just hands you these handouts & then never, ever explains the WHY behind what didn't get covered in class. He never lets you look at your tests after you take them. I worked SO hard in this class but the man doesn't teach. I got an A in Intermediate but still could only manage a 75 average with the way this guy doesnt explain things.

I was warned not to take Dr. Thibadoux, but I'm glad I didn't listen. Go to class! The handouts/problems worked are exactly what's on the test. He is hilarious, and encouraged group work which was enjoyable. 4 grades (4 tests), but the last test was optional. Book is optional, but it helped me. He is sometimes disorganized, but he knows his stuff.

Dr. Thibadoux is hilarious, and his class really isn't hard. Come to class, the handouts are the test word for word. He is sassy and is always available to help anyone. Four grades, four tests, but he made the last test optional. Too bad he can't teach all my classes. The book is optional, but it helped me.

Make sure you don't skip. He gives handouts every class that you do with people in your group. He gives homework most days. He is very nice and has a more hands on approach to cost accounting. The material is not very hard, just expect to put in some effort. Your grade is only 3 tests so make sure you study the handouts and you should pass.

He is a very nice person. Make sure to make it to class. Takes quizzes for almost every class. And you have homework due every class. Only take hime if you're ready to put in the work.

Quizzes before class starts, like read 3 chapters before you come to class, assigned group work every class period, no help at all, you have homework almost every meeting. Exams if you study his study guide you will do fine but after taking this class i havent seen my exams and who knows how he grades them. He is Mr know it all and but hes funny.

Expects students to know everything and judges you for giving a stupid answer. I mean aren't we supposed to be in your class for exactly that reason-TO LEARN. Gives out homework due before he teaches the chapter in class and during class gives out handouts as group projects. I've noticed people askig questions and him acting too smart.

Professor offered no help outside of class and would not respond promptly to emails. Tests were inconsistent to syllabus and professor seemed to be very disorganized. He really does care if students get anything out of the course, there is not a survey for this class, so there is no accountability for the quality of the course.

I am an Accounting major and Thibadoux is one of the better professors in our department. The class is relatively easy (quiz at the start of every class, homework is optional but worth quite a few points at the end). His tests come from work in the class, so come and at least get the answers to the quizzes.

All of the reviews I'm reading say "if you study the handouts, you'll be fine", which is totally false. He can be very rude, even condescending at times. He does give study guides which are super close to the actual test, but the problems are ridiculous. Works exampleshomework totally different from book- can be very unclear in how & why you do it

Favorite professor at UTC so far. He keeps class interesting and I laugh every night I attend this class. I will say his tests can be difficult, but if you go to class and actually study the handouts, there is no way you could make anything less than a B. Highly recommended and I will be choosing him for Gov. ACCOUNTING

By far my favorite teacher at UTC. He is hilarious and is always cracking jokes throughout class. I have taken him twice and am about to take him again. As long as you go to class, work on the handouts, and study a reasonable amount for the tests there is no reason why you can't get an A.

Everyone saying he is a difficult teacher either 1. doesn't study at all, or 2. has no business taking upper level accounting classes. His tests are straight forward and are exactly like what he puts on his review sheets. (and his cost accounting tests were almost identical to his handouts)

i chose this one as elective after taking the acc 305(cost accounting).it was similar, but different...still self study course, but material is much harder.if you can not memorize information, not understanding it-do not even register.some of the tests are somewhat close to the review.majority of handouts are useless.class work is just wasting time.

This class is an Accounting elective and is a very difficult course. Dr. Thibadoux makes it somewhat easier by lightening it up and providing a thorough study guide for exams. However, exams are very difficult. A lot of journal entry memorization that is very different from typical financial accounting courses.

Very funny and interesting teacher. Expects you to learn a lot of the material on your own, does not lecture very much. Most of the times he gives you a problem to work and then lets class out early. Exams are fairly difficult but he gives you a study guide which outlines the exam from top to bottom. I recommend taking for Cost Accounting

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR! Comes into class late. Talks for 5 minutes on material then gives you a handout for you to do the rest of the class. 4 tests and he drops a test grade and can be the final. Tests are nothing like the handouts from class and nothing like the homework.
