Very straightforward professor with good lectures. Doesn't post in depth notes online so attendance is mandatory. Two midterms, 6 problem sets and a 50% final. Exams are difficult but class is curved. Textbook not necessary, she covers everything you need to know in her lectures.

She gives lots of notes. It's a lot of writing but it makes the material easier to recall. She's very helpful but her tests are not easy. I felt like the exams were usually longer than the allocated time. This class is not an easy A. It requires some effort.

Straightforward professor, which is nice. Gives good examples for topics. Be warned, though, that her exams are often quite different from the practice questions she gives out. Textbook was non-essential, since she talks about everything that she test on.

She is wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the subject matter with clear examples. The textbook is followed relatively closely but her lectures are far more in depth. Her tests are extremely long because she wants very thorough answers so that is the only reason they are difficult. If concepts are unclear she will re-explain them differently.

well nobody says anything good for her so i decided to write it here. heather is obviously not very experienced in teaching graduate classes. that's one of the reason she had alot of mistakes in class. she is going to be better next couple of years if she keeps teaching this course which she should. besides unlike some others calls himself prof. sh

she shouldn't be teaching this class.she can't solve the questions in class and then says she could have solved the question using pencil and paper instead of using cholk and board!! her exams are quite long and feels like u are in a phd level calculus exam.. also she makes lots of mistakes in class..

As a grad student, I've had many a prof, but no prof that I have had at this level has made more mistakes than her. She should teach what she knows: undergrad. She should project notes and explain them as she goes, rather than write the textbook on the board. Her exams are ridiculous, but she fits distributions so it's hard to fail.

Very good at teaching fundamental Micro. Insane number of notes, online notes would be much more useful, althoguh having to write it down does help remember. I've always found micro easy and this course wasn't any different. Exams are long, but easy, and I got near 100% on every assignment.
