Mr Velarde is an awesome teacher, without a doubt! As long as you go in to class, participate and completed the assigned material; he is surely fair. For all of you who wrote a bad review, you're either dumb or you didn't show up/participate.

Ive never rated a proff before, but felt that what other ppl are saying about Velarde is ridiculous! Myself and other ppl i know absolutely LOVE Henry. He is not an easy teacher, but I can honeslty say that I have learned from him. He is by far, my favorite teacher .Ive ever had at RU. He cares about students and wants them to Learn/succeed

Many of the other comments are somewhat true, he is a hard professor b/c he wants you to actually learn in this class. If he doesn't like you, beware and be prepared to attend and participate in conversations. The cases are a pain, but are beneficial. I love this professor because he's funny, intelligent and real, especially about drinking :)

Nightmare class! Do NOT take this guy!! He will fail you if he doesn't like you. He teaches class like it was highschool. If you miss one of his classes, he will track you down in your other class and yell at you in front of everyone. Grading is subjective and you have no way of knowing if you're passing or failing at any time.

Horrible teacher. Very unclear about everything except his drinking stories. He's one of those teachers that has the perfect assignment already in their mind and your grade is based on how close you are to his idea.

Interestin class and teacher, at first. Once you realized all he was doing for lecture was telling the same stories and reading directly from the book, it got real boring. He was unclear on the final paper and final exam. I Had a perfect grade going into final projects, ended with an average grade!
