Class was fun @ 1st but then changed. People with piano experience do better but it was not fair b/c it was a BEGINNERS class! She did NOT have patience with those who couldn't play. Was rude & mean @ times! Yelled @ me for not understanding! I was very confused @ times and she would get mad and would tell people to drop the class.

Salas is the sweetest, easiest, most caring teacher. She gives a million chances to get it right. If you are self-motivated she is wonderful, but if you need a little push DO NOT take her, she WILL let you slack off. I took four semesters of piano with her, but I gave her puppy eyes to pass and still can't play a note. My fault, big regrets.

Salas' class is so much fun. She is extremely sweet and helpful, not to mention the class is EASY!! Just practice. Plus, she let's you retake EVERYTHING. You are guaranteed an A.

I took the Beginner Piano. I had salas for both the first and second semester. I love piano so i was really into the class. She is a GREAT teacher. she is so sweet and the class is not hard, just PRACTICE. make sure you have the book and the flashcards. practice and you will be fine.its a lot of fun

Very easy and very fun teacher. I highly recommend her. If you pay attention in class and actually practice a little bit at home, it's an easy name. Also, she genuinely feels like she wants to connect to the students. She acts a little motherly sometimes, but she doesn't overdo it. Another slight flaw is that she sometimes meanders in class.

the person below me - that's just rude and not true. that was the most unprofessional comment i've ever read. if you keep doing things like that, you're not going to go far in life. she's NOT ugly at all and she's the sweetest lady i've ever met. her class is easy, and she's very helpful and fun. i'd say she's the best piano teacher at this school.

Great teacher--you really learn alot. If you want to learn really quickly she may not be the best teacher, but you will leave the class with a great understanding of keyboarding and music. Keeps most of the class challenged and that is important. She never assumes, but will always help you if you need help. Goes into tangents about kindness...

Class was pretty easy, my class was crowded, would have liked it if I always had a piano to myself, but it all worked out. As long as you just finish all your assignments you'll do fine. She accepts stuff late, so you could put things off if you procrastinate alot...

If you have to take class piano, take Dr. Salas' class! She totally understands how tough it can be to learn piano when it's not your major instrument, and is cheerful and friendly. Bends over backwards to help her students. Wonderful !
