Comment:

Prof Clopton encouraged me to pursue cognitive psych for my major. She has been by far my favorite professors. She is extremely flexible with grading if you show interest in the class other wise she will grade you rigidly. She is passionate and wise. She is a loving person and wants those who want to pursue psych as a career to be successful.

Comment:

Professor Clopton is an amazing instructor. She makes you think and inspires her students. The amount of material she covers in class is vast, but you'll walk away having learned more than you realized and it stays with you. Be prepared to participate, and you don't have to worry about wrong answers, she doesn't criticize. I loved this class.

Professor Clopton is a wonderful person and really does care so much about her students. She goes the extra mile to help us out and make her class as manageable as possible. Definitely take her. The class feels like family by the end of the semester :)

Excellent teacher. First teacher I can honestly say was NOT boring no matter how long her lectures were. Hilariously funny. I would definitely would take another class by her again. Tough grader, lots of reading and homework, but you will learn a lot and it's worth the hard work.

She is a hilarious teacher. Hard grader, but she is one of the best psych teachers I've ever had. SO MUCH HOMEWORK THOUGH. And read the syllabus like weekly. She doesn't mention anything on there until it's due.

Comment:

Jamie Clopton is one of my favorite people in the entire world. I always loved her lectures. So interesting & always kept us entertained. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. She made me fall in love with the subject. Basically I want to be her. Tests are open note, online hw &she's very helpful. You have to work hard in the class, but so worth it.

For a 100 level class I feel this class was slightly ridiculous. There was a total of 2300+ points possible during the term. There were about 10 take home assignments, some up to 8 pages long, and not all of them are graded but you never know which ones are for points or not. 1200+ online homework questions as well. Tests are open note.

Professor Clopton is amazing at teaching! She's funny and loves teaching. There were a total of 5 tests, 1 final, and an annotated bibliography. Do the reading, homework, assignments and you'll do fine. Reading textbook is a must! Read, read, read! E-book was necessary to purchase due to tests online.

I adore Jamie. She has encouraged me to go all the way in my college career in Psychology. Her syllabus was intimidating but later was my go to on how to stay organized. It is so much info to memorize and she allows you amble time to study and has you do outlines for your chapters, it is a sure way to prepare you to pass the massive tests. love her

Best professor ever. She actually TEACHES the course. She does not just stand up at the front and read out of the book, she teaches you things that you will actually USE in everyday life. Her course work is lengthy but not difficult, it actually requires effort(Unlike most other 100 level courses) Take her class, you wont regret it.

Best EVER. So funny and entertaining. There are a lot of vocabulary quizzes in which she gives you the dates of but sometimes "forgets" about them. The only thing to complain about is that she always runs class about 5 or 10 minutes late but you can always leave if you need to go to another class. She really is the best want to take her again.

One of the funniest ladies I have ever met! I took this one day a week, so it was almost 3 hours and she managed to keep me entertained the whole time. She loves what she teaches! Her course is difficult but as long as you read the chapter and do the questions in the chapter fill out her study guide and use the cheat sheet, you're golden.

In 4 semesters this is the HARDEST class I have taken BY FAR. The professor is funny, friendly, and excellent. But to get a good grade expect to put in LOTS of extra hours studying and doing lengthy homework assignmens. There's 4 tests that have essays that are very difficult even with your notes that she lets you use. BEWARE, VERY DIFFICULT!!!

Vocab quizzes are free points, just study. WARNING: Tests are ridiculous. Open notes, yet, on 2or3/4 tests the high score was a B. However, she is very nice and the upside is that she curves the final grade. I had a B+ and got an 90% on the final, but she changed the final total from 100 to 50, to make up for previous tests, so I got 90/50 and an A
