Not an easy A. Have to read & attend class daily. Had to write a total of four essays and work hard for my grade in class but Professor Lee is one of the best professors I have ever had. Left a long lasting impression and really taught me a lot about writing. She is passionate about what she does and her students. Always willing to help! Must take!

Jan Lee is a good reasonable teacher. She comes to class right on the dot. Is funy. Snd she sometimes gets off topic laughs a bit then gets back into the lesson. Just one of the things she does to make class less hostile. Good teacher, and a Good person. I recomend this class!

This class is not an essay A! When you first meet her, she might seem to be hard and mean teacher but in reality, she is a total sweetheart! Hw, text book and attendence is manditory.She can sometimes be unclear on directions. She always has office hours so there is no excuse for failing. She is always there to help you out. great professor! :D

Most of her essay assignments are unclear and you are unaware of what she wants from you until after you turn it in. She's not very nice, continually telling you that your writing sucks or you shouldn't be in the class. She's forgetful. She forgot to input grades on two of my essays and I may fail the class because of that.

Textbook(s)=everyday. Don't be late. No computers. No fun. Homework every night. Grades hard. Well put you on the spot. Won't answer "personal" questions in class. Will tell you your a bad writer. not an easy A. books required by 3rd meeting or else ur dropped. all hw must be typed. she is very picky about MLA format. she is a good teacher and is passionate about it. she is helpful if you seek her out during office hours. class is pretty interesting. lots of discussions so keep up with the readings!

the people below are tripping. A terrible teacher. She calls our class names on a daily basis. She says we all SUCK at writing and were the worst class she's ever had. if you need help she asks like she is there to help but then calls us all dumb and says figure it out yourself. nasty mean cranky old lady. pick somebody else. She's okay. She requires all the homework to be type. it's best to bring the book to class 'cause sometime she'll ask students to read from there. One good thing, she gives students extra credit for attending club or school events such as "The Meeting" discussing of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.

Amazing teacher! I recommend taking her. She is very helpful and will answer all your question. She does give alot of HW and if you do not have your book in class she will kick you out!(Make sure to bring it EVERYDAY even if she does not ask you yo bring it)Kinda disorganized and at momments confussing but she is a great teacher!Will take her again

Extremely helpful, but a little disorganized. It seemed like she was trying to pack too much into every class session, and we often ran out of time, especially toward the end. Not a bad class, though. I think my writing has improved because of it.

i have her as of right now and i find her very active and fun. However, you have to look at the syllabus for work expecially for the novel project. Personally i didn't have a problem understanding her. she can be fun, although she is not merciful when it comes to non finished work unless a the whole class doesnt do it. all in all its a good class.

Lee is passionate about teaching. She really wants her students to be prepared for university level work. She won't be the easiest teacher you've ever had, but you will learn if you pay attention and do your work.

i took her for 100 and 310 for one reason. it was an easy A. you dont learn anything kinda. just learn vocabs,read, attend class, pay attention and you should be fine. work is easy except if you fail a test. the retake is pretty simple but you have to study for like an hour in the lab!15 min in and ace everything.the whole hour thing kinda useless.

She is nice as a person, but she is extremely scattered. She can seem very rude and sarcastic at times. Papers are not that hard, and she does not explain clearly what she expects of the papers. overall I would not take another one of her class, or recommend her class to anyone.
