Comment:

Dr. Farkas is a very caring and kind teacher. I have social anxiety and talked to her about a presentation. Instead of giving it in front of the class, she allowed me to do it with her. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Her classes can get boring and her study guides are longer than the bible. Overall she is an amazing person!

Farkas knows a lot and she is definitely a woman that deserves respect. But... this class was just boring. I was really looking forward to it, and I just didn't get what I expected out of it. I still got a good grade, but I just wanted more...

Boring as hell. She had no personality, and talked in a monotone voice the entire semester. I would not recommend taking this class unless you feel like taking forever to doing her ridiculous study guides, and being bored out of your mind.

Comment:

The class is a bit boring, but Dr. Farkas really knows what she is talking about. All powerpoints are posted online. Breaks class up often with movies. There are two tests and one presentation/8 page paper. Not as hard as it seems. Gives extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Tests are only 50 questions so they can be a little tough.

Dr.Farkas is an outstanding teacher, classes can get boring sometimes but the context of class is clear and understandable. 2 exams and 1 paper. she sometimes gives extra credit which can give you 8 points extra.

I had Farkas for victimology. She gives you 2 tests, each with 40% and a paper worth 20%. Going to class was pointless and boring. She put all info you needed to know on powerpoints on d2l. Tests were long, but ok if you studied. whoever gave her a chilli pepper is joking. shes apparently very smart, but doesn't come across that way.

prof. farkas is an easy teacher. she taught directly out of the book and lectures are dry. two tests-which you get a study guide for and a final paper. skip class and get the notes if you need.

She is definately a role model to women everywhere. She is smart, resilient, and truly dedicated to her work. So far, I have took Special Topics: Sexual Offenders and corrections with her. The exams consist of multiple choice and essay, where the essays are given to you ahead of time. I loved her and want her to be my advisor.

Farkas is very knowledgeable but she is also a little too strict. She doesn't put up with talking when she is talking. Her tests are very tricky (multiple choice), but the essay questions are fair. Overall I think she cares that students learn.
