Professor Workman is by far one of the best professors at ECU! She's great! Accounting is a difficult subject for most people, but Mrs. Workman teaches the material in a way that is understandable. You won't find anyone better. You have to put in the work but she is going to do her part.

Comment:

She is by far the most caring professor that I have had at ECU. She really cares about your success and goes over everything in great detail. Tests are hard but if you show up, read your textbook, and take good notes you will be fine. I would take her for every accounting class if I could. Take her, you wont regret it.

Comment:

I have a lot of difficulty in accounting and I WISH I could take her for every accounting class. She goes over everything in detail in class and it helps a lot! She doesn't give detailed study guides so I would recommend going to class just so that you can be aware about what will be on the tests. Attendance is not required but it extra credit.

Best professor I've had at ECU so far. Really cares about your success in the class and makes herself readily available. She is usually exhausted after lectures, because she tries so hard to make people understand. Can't wait to take more classes with her.

I cannot say enough about how WONDERFUL she is! This is a HARD course no matter what, but she makes it so doable. She stresses reading before coming to class and I know its a pain but it definitely helps ! Read and do the homework before class and you will be amazed at how much easier the lectures come to you. Do the study guides for her tests!

Mrs. Workman is the best! I really strugged with ACCT 2401, it's a difficult class, but she is great at explaining concepts in simple terms so you can understand them. She is very straightforward about what is on her tests and provides a study guide for each one, and she is very accessible outside of class via e-mail/office hours. Take her!

Such a sweet lady! Accounting overall can be very difficult but she does a great job of explaining. Exams are pretty hard but she's very clear about what's going to be on them. Go to her office hours!! She'll explain concepts to you one on one and it helped me a ton.

Great professor, but accounting in general is super boring. Every class seems to just be going over homework, which is helpful when you don't understand the material, but boring otherwise. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she won't round up your grade if you don't show up to class. There's mandatory homework as well as extra practice problems.

Ms. Workman is one of the best professors I've ever had. Accounting is an extremely difficult course but Ms. Workman works with every student to help them understand the material. Take her!!

Had to take the class again. I took it with Professor Workman and I wish I would've taken it the first time with her. You go to class and you will do well. Do the study guide and you will get an A. Very organized professor compared to the first time I took it.

Amazing professor!! Makes the material super easy to understand. If you go to class you'll get A's on the tests! Attendance isn't mandatory but she takes roll so if you show up almost everyday she might help your grade at the end.

I had to retake acct 2401 so I switched professors and Professor Workman is AMAZING. Haven't gotten lower than a B on a test yet. She explains things really well and will sit there and explain things to you over and over again until you understand it. She also gives study guides and practice questions. Do the questions and you'll pass the test!

Professor Workman is a lovely lady who wants her students to do well. Accounting is pretty difficult so you have to work for it which involves reading the chapters, doing the assigned homework, and coming to class. She is there to guide and help you throughout the course but it is on you to put some work into it. Take her!!

First, l I had no knowledge of accounting but I quickly learned this was not gonna be an easy class. She is straight forward about her expectations on day one of class. You will have about 10-12 graded homework. She also gives practice. First 3 chapters are critical to understand the rest of accounting. Basically don't be lazy & just do the work!

Very hard to get an A in this class. 4 hard tests, a homework grade, and the final is your grade for the course. Doesn't curve anything. She was gone for 3 classes and still didn't curve the exam. I was 1.26 points away from not having to retake the class and she didn't show leniency so I'm taking it next semester!!!

Currently about to finish this class and I will say that it's a really tough class. If you pay attention, take good notes, and study a lot before tests you maybe will do fine. It's not that the professor isn't good, it's the fact that accounting is hard in itself. If you take this class make sure you go to class, do the homework, and study.

She is a really good teacher knows what she is talking about and makes you really think about the question to understand the material. Accounting is hard but she makes it easy and her lectures are straight to the point. Love her! Please take her!

Professor Workman is awesome! She is such a sweet lady that truly cares about her students. She is very enthusiastic and explains financial accounting well. Her tests are really difficult, but if you stay on top of the homework and reading you will pass.

Workman is an awesome professor. She encourages any questions. I think she explains financial accounting very well. The homework is on MyAccountingLab, and she goes over it in class before its due. You do have to put in the effort of going to class in order to do well. She genuinely wants you to do well in the class.
