Nice person, awful professor. Class is entertaining but has no idea how to communicate what she wants on final. Wastes class discussing inconsequential policy tidbits loosely related to the material. Went to all her special office hours, did all her practice exams and weekly office hours but still was clueless as to what she wants on exam.

Very good Professor. Really engaging and professional. She will teach you if you want to learn. I thought that exam was easier than she could have made it. But, it's a tough class because of the subject matter and "reasonableness" standards all over the place. The book does not facilitate retaining the case names, but is super good for outlining.

Class was fun and engaging, however the exam is hard. Exam consisted of a take home component that was basically a creative writing exercise(ie open ended essay- tell me how you feel) and the issue spotting in-class exam has severe word limits. If you like this type of exam then her style is for you. By far this was my worst exam.

How I know anything about Property Law after her class is beyond me. Entire classes would be lost in discussions of minor policy issues not even discussed in the cases. It was possible to show up to class, zone out of the next hour, and still have not missed anything. She allowed a few students to dominate the majority of class discussions

Must have different standards than other profs- saw people were saying they got lowest grades ever. Mine was my highest grade ever. Does have sort of an oddball sense of humor but one I enjoyed.

The best I can do is tell you my story. I picked out and analyzed every issue she (admittedly) was looking for on her exam. Then I added some less likely issues because they were colorable (and I said that they were less likely). Result: C+. DO NOT ADD ANYTHING BEYOND THE MOST OBVIOUS ISSUES!!! YOUR GRADES WILL SUFFER.

Goes on and on about policy and her exam is a lot more difficult then she makes it out to be. She says she does not expect you to pour the entire class into her exam-that is not true. She's smart but exam is killer.

She's very engaging and interesting in class discussions. She'll make you think about legal issues in a way you haven't before. Unfortunetly, her tests can be quite baffling. She asked a series of fact patterns that had no obvious connection with the contents of the book. I found her test to be very difficult, but managed to get a B.

Obviously finds herself incredibly amusing, but more resembles a rabbit on a sugar high. Very confusing. Doesn't address cases at all. You never know where she's coming from.

She teaches the class like she's on crack. Seriously. But that may not be a bad thing. She's funny. If you want to learn the subject, you'll have to teach yourself, because class time is reserved for her rants against the use of balancing tests.

I walked out of Baron's class sometimes feeling as if I had just been de-educated. She has a tendency to veer off the syllabus, especially toward the end of the semester, and get lost in never-ending policy debates. She teaches some parts well, like the estates system, but then doesn't test on them.

There seems to be a pattern here. I took her review class and thought that I would get an A. I thought that I understood everything. Not so. C+ instead!

She's a great prof until you take the exam. Be VERY wary. She doesn't go by the already low B- curve... instead, she's worse!!! Expect a full letter grade lower than your norm.

Very smart- and she's aware of that. (Harvard and all) Likes to discuss policy and rationale mostly. She expects you to be prepared (read) and discuss in-class what/why is the policy behind the decision. She's very good lecturer but not so friendly in-per
