Comment:

Jane is a wonderful person and singer. However, I was marred with many vocal problems that I don't think she was entirely sure how to fix. She believed my ear was not working hard enough. I worked with a teacher in NYC to correct my technique, which was pulling the tone down, and my junior and senior year, she commented on how improved I was.

Comment:

Jane is like my mother at school. She takes a personal interest in her students and knows what's going on in their lives, and that allows her to be an excellent teacher for each of them. During my time with her I've been able to branch out significantly in my repertoire and my voice has definitely improved.

Jane knows a lot about music and one can learn a ton from her. She believes in doing pieces that best show off your vocal range, which is totally in your best interest. However you have to be willing to work hard outside of class to get better, and get a thick skin because in the music business you'll need it anyway.

She made me cry on several ocassions. I dropped her as a voice teacher after a couple years because studying with her made me miserable. And I didn't get any better.
