i thought the class was going to be really interesting, but it was not. she wanted us to read a novel in two days and she was very disorganized. she was really nice, but in order to understand you needed to know a lot from other classes.

Sternbach is intense and passionate about the her material which makes her class that much better. She is extremely helpful and enjoys creativity but she has little patience for ignorance. She presents a challenge for those with little LAS background and interest - but thats the point

latin american women and latina writers was one of the biggest wastes of time of my college career. we talked about the SPINE of the book. I kid you not. absolutely useless class. just get the reading list and enjoy that. the course was awful.

Her comments lead me to believe she simply reads reviews of the texts and films assigned for class. She asks us the same questions every class about the same obvious issues. I think she'd love, more than anything, to talk about The Man getting us down.
