SO much content & redundancy. Many struggled, course assignments changed during semester as a result. LOTS of writing. If you think you can write after this class you will not be so sure. I received A's in the 3 prior classes that contained writing. Despite that, Prof B. is very helpful and gives precise, clear feedback.

Comment:

We had 5 essays in one semester, and at first, I did horrible, but if you take her advice and participate in the discussions you should improve! She did have incentives to help improve your grades which were very nice. It was difficult, but she believed in me and I ended up doing better than I thought. Just get ready to work hard!

She is willing to help. I had trouvble with a quiz, and she talked me through the answers and then reset one of the quiz attempts so I could try again.

She is an awesome professor, but if you do not read your e-mails, put in effort or even slack of slightly - you will not pass. She takes her course very seriously. If English is not forté, I do not recommend you take her. I myself, happen to like writing and excelled in her class.

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!! She is the most picky grader I have ever had. Everything has to be done her way or you will fail. Takes off points for things that have nothing to do with her class. Participation grades turn into how well you can read her mind. The best thing you can do is never come into contact with her. Terrible.

She does not give grace when grading. I have received F's because I wrote a response in 2 replies and not 1. It's like she graded on how well I work brightspace and not the material I know. There are many group projects for being an online class, too. Others who don't do their part takes a toll on your grade and she does not understand.

I'm not finished with the class yet but it's pretty cool. She requires one live chat but its ok because i dont have to come to campus. I like the infographic and video because they are different than the same boring essays. it's work but she seems fair.

I too have written a pretty decent paper for her & received a C, w/ a VERY negative feedback. She requires several online live video chats & group work (w/ video chats) and a post to Youtube which NOT what I took an online class to do. directions are unclear and if you ask for clarification she refers you back to what she said to begin with.

This semester was my first time taking Professor Black. I often stress about writing papers but this class made it much easier and helped me improve because of Professor Black's feedback. The workload was nicely spread out and any time I had questions Professor Black was very helpful in answering them. One of my favorite classes this semester.

This is my second time taking Professor Black for english. She is hands down the best professor I have ever hard. She truly cares how you do in her class. She does not give an unreasonable amount of work (weekly). She gives great tips and is always avaible to talk to even though the class was online. SHE IS THE BEST! would retake 100%! so good!

This class is great! The teacher really helps you and wants you to succeed. She looks out for you and you feel like your the only student she has in class. I like how you only write 1 paper over the entire semester... 1 paper. You dive really deep... really really deep into 1 paper. I hope you understand what Im trying to say. Trust the rating.

Idk how the teacher can even keep up with this class? Ridiculous honestly and didnt learn much either. I have never wanted to put off a class more. Workload is manageable, but very boring and not practical. 150 Class roster, youre on the list, top 10? 50?100?... bottom 10 youll know. Wish I could have taken a more fulfilling class .5/3 rating.

Pretty sure this Professor is on here rating herself and giving herself positive reviews. Her class is unrealistically hard. Her expectations are crazy high. If you ask her a question, she will answer you in a condescending way. AVOID HER AT ALL COST.

Professor Black is a wonderful teacher! She really wants you to succeed and learn in her class. If you put in the effort and really work hard, you will do well. This class is not the easiest but it will really help you improve your writing skills. She is great about being available to answer questions and she gives outstanding feedback!

Professor Black is a wonderful teacher. I would take her class again. She is fair when it comes to her grading and is available when you need her. Love the fact that she lets you work ahead and gives bonus points if you help or turn your homework in early. She does provide examples for her assignments. You will be glad to take her course.
