Dr. Martin is pleasant and her classes are extremely intellectually stimulating. It really helped me make the transition from hs to college writing. Make sure you do the readings or you will die on the papers, which are very intellectually challenging to write. She is not good about returning emails. If you work hard you will get a good grade.

I thought the class would be a drag, but the teacher is great. A little quiet at first, but she makes all students feel comfortable and is super respectful of opinions. Allows students to analyze work together and goes over hw. to make sure everyone understands. Open to interpretation and is very nice too. I was pleasantly surprised.

she was very plesant, helpful, and down to earth. AWD was not something i was looking forward to, but she made it easy for us. ask for help and she'll give you all the help you need. this was my 2nd time taking AWD. i dropped it the 1st b/c my prof. was impossible!!
