Comment:

Professional practice as a bunch of theory. Nice lady, best academic advisor I've had so far, but her class is a bore. Most of the articles are decently interesting, but the in-class lecture is a waste of time. One or two projects are okay, but expectations were not always clear about essays. Changed the syllabus several times too, if I remember.

Let's not beat around the bush: she may be a nice person, but her teaching style is a cure for insomnia. Seems like she wants to get back to her research, quick. Yet her scholarship is mediocre at best. Disengaged. Nice smile seems to hide a lack of interest in her students. Probably a great librarian, but that doesn't make a good teacher.

Maybe she was better in her youth, but she just seemed old and feeble and not able to communicate very well. Her lectures were terribly boring. This was not an easy class.

Not sure about the class. I really liked her alot. She was helpful and nice. I know that some people don't like the fact that you choose your own readings, but I appreciated getting to choose my own boring assignments rather than being forced into on.
