Prof. Tabb is so passionate about the subject and her lectures are great. if you don't show up for class you're going to have an extremely difficult time passing. TESTS ARE NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE SO BE PREPARED. They rely heavily on notes and items talked about in class. Total of four exams and multiple in class exercises. Lots of extra credit.

I didn't expect to fall in love with science - especially meterology and astronomy - but I DID! Ms. Tabb presents animated lectures and breaks complicated science down into bite-size digestible chunks. The world seems to make a lot more sense to me! Absolutely fascinating labs and Ms. Tabb was always willing to work with us to ensure our success.

Awesome teacher! she makes science fun. She tells great stories and gives excellent feedback. She's hand-on and right there willing to help with labs and questions. She gives opportunities for extra credit to improve grade and really seems to care about her students. Highly recommend her for general science credit/non-science majors

LOVE her sense of humor. She keeps you very interested in the material. Very enthusiastic and can tell she loves what she does, which will interest you. Not a dull moment with her. Definitely learned a lot. Offers a generous amount of extra credit. Book is optional, can get through the class without it.

FANTASTIC! I had no interest in the subject, but she made it so interesting. Never used the book, just took lots of notes, which was more than enough. GO TO THE CLASSES AND THE TEST REVIEWS! If you do that, you will have no problem passing. She is very helpful and gives clear explanations. Would definitely taker her class again.

For the lecture, just watch the video and you'll do fine on the worksheets and quizzes. There are 4 big unit tests, each 72 questions so some studying def. required. Nice woman, good sense of humor, keeps up with Angel grades. She's a meteorologist and she used to be a tv "weather girl" so quite personable. TAKE HER!

i took her for earth science...she is really nice and helpful. if u don't understand something she will explain until u get it. class was easy, only met once a week. she will lecture, than u have a worksheet to do, and then take a quiz. there was a few tests, not too bad. u also have to listen to the lectures in the computer lab! I took this class with a general interest in Meteorology, and after it decided that I want to major in it! She is very clear, concise, exciting to listen to, and provides a lot of extra credit. The tests are tough, but if you study your notes you should get a good grade. I highly recommend!

Had her for only a short time as my schedule forced me to withdraw. But she made learning the meteorological concepts very interesting and fun. We talked some about global warming, weather-based current movies, and of course applicable material. Definitely Recommend.

Excellent Professor. Knows science through and through. Lectures and labs are tailored to reinforce one another to learn about the many elements of Earth science. Recommend taking both the course and lab. Tests can be difficult.

Great science teacher. She has a true passion for this class. She lectures during the entire class time period. Her tests are a bit long and can be difficult; however, one will learn a lot! Great teacher tests and quizzes kinda difficult, but most students did well (the reasonably intelligent students who showed up to class). She is more then happy to help students who need it, but don't take any of her classes expecting an easy "A". Meteorology is a passion for her, and it shows when she teaches the class.

Comment:

My favorite teacher at SPC. She is so into Earth Science and Meteorology. Very intelligent and a very nice woman. She is trying to help change the world for the better with her teaching and doing a great job at it. I nominated her for "SPC teacher of the year" for 2005-2006. She makes science interesting for everybody. I highly recommend her.
