He's generally a nice guy, but super unclear (soft spoken) and his syllabus for grading is not reflective of the work you do. If you don't do well on one thing, your whole grade could drop a letter grade regardless of doing well on everything else. Not normal grading, each assignment doesn't count for a percentage. Not worth your time, GPA dropper.

He makes us do a lot of group work and I mean every single class there's a point where he goes "ok get into groups" or "talk to people around you". He gives us a lot of weird assignments from our textbook and doesn't even grade them just has us talk to those around us about it. Kind of a pointless class to take.

this professor is the worst teacher i have ever had. he speaks too softly to the point where no one can understand him, and he grades WAY too harshly. i've even gone to him after class a few times for help and he assured me that he doesn't know what to do. he also mumbles under his breath a lot....

He was pretty funny sometimes but would go off into his own mind and didn't care if anyone understood what he was mumbling about. No one could pay attention to him for more than about 20 minutes and it was ridiculously easy to get side tracked. If he could be more clear when expressing his thoughts he would be a pretty interesting professor though.

This Mo*F'en teacher is the absolute WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!! He sucks at teaching, explaining, and wait-just sucks in general. He has really weird manerisms where he practically turns his head completely around (exorcist style) and he has this thing where he says you name twice after taking attendance. People leaving DURING class! IT SUCKS

I have to say that he's the most straight forward teacher ever. His teaching style is nothing impressive but overall he makes the class easy. He repeats himself so much that you pretty much dont have to take notes, because his words are then drilled into your brain. Good readings, and read everything he asks you to because of those damn pop quizzes.

He has this weird swallowing thing as he takes attendence, and while I was taking the class I pretty much hated him. But the readings he assigns are always interesting, as are the papers, and if you participate he'll be your best friend. His grading was fair, and hey I mean we got to talk about Nietzsche and Fight Club. People who complain about his lectures and readings, more often than not never did the reading, and so found the lectures confusing and repetitive. He has to repeat, 'so they'll follow...

Very strange guy. His class is easy becase u rarley have an assignment. A paper here and there, and a few pop quizes and a take home final. You watch Fight Club in his class!! As far as his staring problem and repeating himself, it does get pretty amusing. And his INTENSE blushing at time lol.

I think that Dr. Madritch is a wonderful professor. He was very helpful, and was always available for extra help for both his writing and core classes. He may have been a little dry in his teaching style, but overall a great guy!
