Hardest Class Ive ever taken, however, It may not be my cup of tea. But hes absolutely fantastic. He cares about his students and knows how to teach. PS: study for his exams ALOT.

BEST CLASS I TOOK AT BABSON. RISK MANAGEMENT. MADE CLEAR MANY CONCEPTS THAT WERE MUDDLED UP BY PRIOR PROFESSORS.

He wrote the book and gets very defensive if anything is questioned in it. If he can't prove that it's in the book during class, he'll search through it extensively to prove students wrong (occurred often). It's extremely disheartening since we would ask to gain a better understanding, only to encounter a subtle belittling or to experience a debate

Comment:

One of the most challenging and rewarding classes in my program. Read every page of the textbook. Outstanding professor who knows his material like no other. Very good presentation style. I found him to be extremely responsive to my questions. Great class but will definitely work you.

Brilliant Professor who loves what he is doing - and (if he likes you, and it is clearly obvious who he likes and dislikes) can be very helpful. Unfortunately some classes descend into a demonstration of showing how much Marthinsen knows.

Tough professor, but a great guy. Will make you sweat but you will learn tons and he is willing to help as much as you need it. Highly recommend eventhough my lowest grade ever was from Marthinsen.
