Comment:
Prof. Stoker is very intimidating, however, I took him for College Writing I & II. He grew on me. He gave us the freedom to choose certain topics on papers, making the assignment less daunting. One-on-one, he's not so bad. My final paper had to be submitted to him in several rough drafts (HELPFUL!!) I got an A. He did have an outburst once in class

His lectures are super boring and he speaks with such a monotone voice the whole time. We wrote a total of 5 papers and 1 of those is an in class. We did an oral presentation too. The prompts were boring and all about history. Make sure you take your notes and pay attention even though he makes zero sense. worst professor ever.

Tough grader, but absolutely brilliant. Doesn't believe that English papers are ever completely finished, so he lets you revise them after giving you feedback. Takes hard work, but there aren't many assignments and definitely a class worth taking again. Dr. Stoker is definitely one of my favorite professors.

Not Nice! Puts you on the spot and calls you out. Feels the need to tell everyone in the class all of your business. I would recommend taking any other professor.

Most pathetic excuse for a professor I've ever seen. He expects so much out of students but can't even show up for class on time.

He made College Writing I an enjoyable class. Offered plenty of feedback on your first drafts, and the lectures were interesting.

All of his tests are questions about how you interpreted the reading. If it's not the same way he interpreted it, you're wrong. I asked for help many times because I just wasn't understanding and I was denied every time.

I went into his course not likeing him one bit, but after a full semester with him, I came to like him and what he is all about. He is by far an easy professor...you WILL work for that "A"....but I really did learn a lot about writing and looking deeper into the books that I read as well as my writing. Overall, very good professor....

A knowledgeable man who has so much to give--and gives it freely. Just be open to it-and you'll never look at Shakespeare the same way again!!! Thanks Mr. Stoker-you're still in my head!!!

Not helpful at all, I work full time and take classes full time, if i have a question about the class I am not going to make a special trip to see him in the writing center, i don't have time for that. Prof Stoker, just take 5 min after class to help!
