She is AMAZING, I took her for English 102, although I know she is hard, but I love her so much that I came back for some more! I was MISERABLE in this class, but she prepared me so well that although english is not my first language, I got an A in my Engl 4 and now have no trouble reading or writing in any of my other classes.

I received a B in her class. She is sarcastic, blunt, to the point, awesome and hilarious. She made 1A a fun class. I was trying to add 1A and had the chance to shop my instructors (out of 8 instructors). This is not an easy class, but her material is great in comparison to others and she is very helpful. She will prepare you and get your attention

i got a B wasnt the easiest class ive taken but i became a better writer she gives helpful handouts, ide recommend her if your a serious students she'll prepare you for a UC or CSU 5 essays as long as you want them to be, weekly quizzes and a research paper no final the final is the rearch paper

Comment:

Think Prof. McGonagall with a Judge Judy attitude. Her seemingly angry mood might scare you at the start, but you'll enjoy her good humor (e.g. mosquitoes so big they have license plates). A very approachable person if you don't mind getting picked on. She freaks out for fun, too! Her lectures were very entertaining; kept me up on those Saturdays!

Mrs. Dragoo epitomizes what a teacher should be. Truly I have found her class simple, but very enlightening at the same time. Her class circles around issues of the USA, while teaching a student the importance of thinking; and reading is also a big part of her class, proof or otherwise. She is the highlight of my Chabot experience. She offends sensitive people with ease and offers the most memorable ideas you'll come across at Chabot. Her bitter humor and doubtful attitude to the quitters of the class sets her apart from the cheesy "i hope you like english" attitude of other teachers. Bottom Line: Be an intellectual in her class.

Ms. Dragoo is awesome. Although she is the oldest professor I've ever had, she is by far the funniest. She assigns short readings regularly but they are pretty interesting. Most reveal crazy things about mythology and pop culture. As long as you do the readings and few papers she assigns, you'll be fine. I definitely recommend her class.

Her main goal was to pull students out of misery. She graded the essays very Fairly. She might embarrass some of the students, but you have to realize that it's for their on benefits as they'll remember this if the made the same mistake again.
