Terrible at explaining concepts and tends to simply read the slides that he prepared without further explanation. Gives practice tests but they are hardly like the actual tests which makes it difficult to study.

The only people who rate him poorly are those who want an easy A. Dr. Scaffidi is an excellent TA who is not only very knowledgable but also very helpful if you truly want to learn. The course itself is not easy but if it was, would it be worth it? Jon is an exceptional mentor, if you seek intellectual help and not an easy A.
