Really nice guy but the way he teaches isn't great because he'll go off on tangents a lot and won't explain things well or will do it halfway and expects you to have already learned stats before. go to tutoring hours if you need help and he offers test corrections. Wants to see all his students succeed and love stats

Very test heavy class: 3 exams worth 90% of the grade! Fortunately, he gives a study guide 2 weeks before exams that helps ALOT. Not a great lecturer as he often goes off on tangents or tries to crack jokes. He does curve though which helps. If you don't get Guannu for stats, I recommend Dr. Earley for sure. Not great but DEFINITELY not the worst.

If you are not good at math or have never taken a stats class, I recommend going to his office hours and reading the text that comes with the class. He won't ever make you read it, but with his teaching style and for the sake of organization, read the book if you're struggling.

Doesn't collect attendance but attendance is mandatory. He knows people's faces and his roster has your faces+ your name and that's how he grade participation in the gradebook. His final exams are mostly about the labs. Most people disappear for labs but if you don't go, go to his tutor (maggie?) She can explain everything to you. Best tutor!

Professor Earley is a great guy. He's teaching style will make you WANT to go to class, even though it isn't mandatory. The workload is fairly light and most of the grade is based on the tests. The tests are definitely not easy but if you put in study time and go to the optional tutoring sessions you'll do well.

He's not the best professor in terms of teaching, his lectures are also often unorganized and boring. He also sometimes gets off topic and then forgets to complete the rest of what he was supposed to teach on the board. He isn't the worst though, and his class is still manageable as long as you go to him for help when needed. Tests are pretty easy.

Really nice professor. Doesn't try to make you into a statistician like all the other Econ Stat professors that are a lot younger than J Earley. Super nice but a good amount of computer work and very boring. Really wanted to leave half way through the class - but they were longer since it was summer.

Don't buy the textbook we never used it. No homework and there are equation sheets given to you before every test that you can write notes on.

He's a funny guy and a good teacher. If you don't understand something go into his office hours. If you feel you're struggling in the class show him that you're trying and most likely you'll be rewarded. He also curves tests like crazy.

One of the best econ professors at LMU. Funny enough to do stand-up and very clear in office hours. Econometrics cannot be self taught, and he was extremely helpful one-on-one.

Don't take. He is constantly wrong but doesnt stop to check his work or answer any questions--today he said in class that 6 - 3 2... VERY unclear and goes so fast that no one can even understand him. He wastes class time talking his life. useless to go to class. Our entire class average was a 50. The entire class is in the dark with the material.

Super funny and nice professor, and although his lectures are somewhat entertaining they're also pretty confusing. If you're stuck on a question during one of his exams, I highly recommend asking him for help or going to his office hours. Major grade curve if he sees you put in the effort.

Extremely nice guy and his class is decently enjoyable. However, trying to figure out what is on the tests is impossible. He gives you a study guide which helps, but there always at least 10 questions not related to the study guide that can make you fail a test. I wouldn't pick him as my first choice but he isn't bad either.

Professor Early is really nice and he knows a lot about economics, but he isn't the best teacher. There were a lot of times where I had no clue what he was saying, so I got a tutor. The nice thing is he gives a study guide which are really similar to how the exam will be. Go to class, pay attention, study, and you should be fine.

Professor Earley is a really great guy, like he's probably the coolest grandpa. As a stats teacher, he wasn't the best. His teaching style is repetitive so you do the same problems on the board 3 times. If you go in to his office hours to go over your test he'l give you points back. Attendance is not mandatory. He loves to tell jokes.

He's a really nice guy and he doesn't require you to do homework but his teaching is a little all over the place and hard to understand what is going on if you don't have prior statistics knowledge. He told us he would rather be retired so you can kinda tell he is mentally checking out and would rather tell jokes than clarify things
