She forces you to come to class, but she herself seems to not want to be there. This is the type of teacher I used to pick on in middle school, and so I did the same to her, which at LEAST made the class giggle. I have nothing against Doc Hanes, personally or against her views the world, but go on a retreat or get a deep massage or something.

Hanes is very dry and awkward to start - it gets better but the environment is unpleasant. You have to read a ton of material and then discuss it in class, which felt like a total waste of time. Pay close attention to the syllabus because she won't be reminding you of due datestest days. All assignments and tests are submitted and taken online.

She sets her class up like an online class but requires you to show up every day. It is ridiculous. I would recomend her because her class is easy, though it is full of busy work. If you don't mind her snarky liberal comments every single time she opens her mouth you'll be fine. it's an easy A.

Used loaded class materials/pictures to promote her own controversial liberal ideals, but remained objective in grading. I found myself outraged more than educated, but learned much from the class. Too much agitation, wouldn't recommend.
