He is a nice guy, but he is very boring. Maybe if you like philosophical discussions you would like him. I got put in this class and I didnt like it. He asks so many questions and he talks about The Matrix A LOT so watch that movie.

Unusual experience. This class felt like a bunch of people hanging out and kind of shooting the logic-focused breeze. No book. No homework. No participation points. Actually, barely any notes. He explains a concept then we do exercises over and over as a class. 4 exams totaling 190 points with two extra credit assignments offered.

Dr. Josh is a really great teacher! I look forward to his class and he is really passionate about what he teaches. What he writes on the board is kind of brief, so make sure you write down the important parts of what he is saying. On tests, you get to choose which questions to answer. He is funny, laid-back, and loves Reeses! Take his class!

I've had Josh for 2 classes and I really enjoy him both as a professor and as a person. It is clear that he is very knowledgable in his field of philosophy but he is also a rad person who is well read and has a diverse range of interests that he has conversations with people in class before class starts

Josh is very intellegent in all areas of general knowledge but Philosophy is obviously his speciality. Best thing is his ability to consider ideas contrary to his own thoughts. He will defend his position but won't dismiss a students input just because he is the professor. Sit close and ask questions for best results!

Josh is great, attendance is not mandatory at all, but you really should go to follow along with his tests later on. His tests are all based on class discussion so if you happen to miss something you're SOL. He gives study guides but if you weren't there you can't google the answers, he expects the answer that he discussed in lecture.

Dr. Fischel is absolutely fantastic. I took him for Logic, and he will not only teach you Logic, but he will make SURE you know why it is important. He does not like extra credit and will make you work for your grade, as he can see through any form of BS. He is fun to talk to, and knows great music! I would take him again in a heartbeat.

This class was really easy. 2 papers and 2 exams. Teacher gets sidetracked VERY easily. Often starts class 30 minutes late (night class). As long as you put effort and showed thought in your work you should get a good grade.
