Extremely Hard class. she is a nice lady, but sometimes says offensive comments. exams were really! hard.need to read the book, and really understand the concepts and be able to apply them to get a good grade. their are excercies due at first their complicated, but they get easier. 1st test is the hardest one.

She is very nice, but it's an extremely hard class. Do your VERY best on hw in order to get all the points seeing as you might miss out a lot on tests. IQ paper was relatively easy, just don't procrastinate! Gives online practice tests that are somewhat helpful for exams. Posts lectures online, take good notes! Overall, just glad it is over!

J Havlena seems like a nice & interesting teacher at first. lectures & slides go by very fast! Don't miss class & have assignments earlier than due date.(Trust rules of sylibus & don't believe any extensions!!) Gets very annoyed if you ask questions! Always refer to her TA's(they're more helpful) DO NOT take her!! Difficult & condicending attitude!

She posts study guides for all the tests, including the final, almost the first day of class. Buy the book, but just use it to fill out the study guide. She takes attendance, so show up!, and watch out for those deadlines, she has some homework assignments due at odd time. She offers extra credit, but start early because it is very comprehensive.

She is a great professor. Extremely clear in her lectures, and she'll post them online for you in any format you'd like. Very helpful with questions. Lots of fun activities to do in class. Exams can be slightly difficult in ways, but overall aren't too bad. As long as you study hard for all the exams and do all of the hw assignments you'll be fine.

Prof Havlena is not a very good professor, she's never available and would prefer to speak with you through e-mails,only rather then see her during her office hours. Her lectures are way to fast and really confusing! Plus she tends to mock her students if they dont do well on something. Take someone else.

Comment:

Professor Havlena is one of the best professors at Cal State Fullerton. I highly recommend her for this class. Psychological Testing is a challenging class and I was nervous to take it, but Professor Havlena helps to make sense of everything. Because of her great teaching methods, I did well in her class~~Thank you Professor Havlena!!!

I didn't think this class was that bad. If you are a slacker and don't like to show up to class or do homework, however, don't take her class. The material is pretty straightforward and her tests are tough, but she gives you tools to succeed (study guides, outlines, notes online, etc.)-you just have to take initiative and use them.

I passed the class without reading the book, however, I don't recommend that you do that, since the material on her tests consists of both her lectures notes, and the chapters in the book. She is a sweet professor who makes herself available for help during her office hours, or through e-mails.

One of the best classes I have ever taken. Although the course starts out really hard, it gets easier as time goes on. June Havlena is one of the best teachers at CSUF in my experience. If you want to learn a lot and enjoy the feeling of EARNING an "A," then take this course!

Great teacher! 3 tests, 1 paper (not APA), and about 15 homework assignments. You must do the homework and show up for the IQ tests (easy points), go to see her at office hours to see if your doing the homework right! The tests are difficult if you don't study well enough, make sure you UNDERSTAND the material and how to apply what you've learned.

NICE lady... but very hard class. struggled to get a 'C'. Its one of those tough subjects, but I can think of other tough classes where the teachers managed to make sense of the material.
