Class was really enjoyable, especially for an 8AM. Professor Byde is the funniest professor, really open and honest and makes learning the material extremely easy. Discussions are not mandatory (but extra credit, well why not?). Class is meant for freshmen, which means really low means (like stupidly low).

Very funny individual. He's really old as he has a b.s. in biosci from uci when it opened. You have to study the notes that he prepares for you based off lectures as well as the book readings. No homework and discussions/class are not mandatory.

He's a great Prof. Hilarious. A bit sarcastic. Makes sure you understand concepts. Caring. You really need to memorize the notes though. He's pretty easy at Fullerton Junior College. No final. 4 tests.

Woot. Best professor ever. I would take every class he teaches if it were possible. He uses the same jokes but it's cool, he's hilarious. He gives old tests that dates back to 1993 as study guides and it's helpful. Extra credit for discussion but the TA wasn't all that helpful.

He is by far one of my favorite teachers. He is funny and his teaching is straightforward, his notes are whats on the test. and he helps you do good in his class, I've taken 3 classes with him at UCI and Fullerton College done great in every single one. He is so nice and reminds me of Santa Clause

Byde was by far my favorite professor I have taken from at UCI. I laughed the entire way through his lectures and he is extremely caring and will help his student's out without question. He also keeps old tests on file that help immensely when studying for the 2 finals he gives. Must take him if you are a psych major at least once!

Every psych student must take Byde! It is a must while at UCI. I got a lot out of the class and specifically enjoyed the second portion of the course. He gives you the absolute best resources for studying for his exams: practice exams and handouts with all of the material on them. But make sure to read all of the assigned readings and go to lecture

This professor is pretty entertaining. His class is not very difficult, but his exams are. Since your grade is based on 2 exams, you have to do well on them. His class is usually in the morning (9am), and the final is given at 8am! But overall, he is a caring professor who will go out of his way to help you out (if needed). I recommend him.

He is a very nice and funny guy but his class was just awful. His tests are basically memorizing all of the handouts he gives, each handouts are like 3 pages and there are like 5 chapters so there were about 15 pages to memorize. His test I thought had very tricky questions.The class is also at 8am, which made it worse.

He is one of my favorite professors here at UCI. He goes off tangent a lot but in doing that you learn so much more than just the subject. He is so funny! To get an A in the class you need to read the book, memorize the notes and do the practice tests.

Nice guy.he makes great handouts to go with the reading. you have to read the book or handouts to do good. 1 midtm+final. his ?s come directly from the readings. ive taken other classes w him, same idea. i just read the handouts and get As. he is good about getting back to your emails. doesnt talk much about anything in lec. just READ HANDOUTS.

Funny guy, but incredibly dull. Went to class the first two weeks, then stuck to just reading the book and his handouts and got an A. He basically just read off of his notes and cracked a few jokes or threw in some anecdotes. Maybe fine for an afternoon class, but not enough for an early-morning class.

Dr B has very wide & deep knowledge on psych, humanity & truly great wisdom. His exams are hard & tricky; but so is life! You will learn soooo much about psych & life! READ + READ + READ textbook + his excellent handouts = A. Excellent & funny lectures. If you really want to LEARN take a course with Dr B. You'll gain valuable life long knowledge!
