Comment:

I don't think I've ever had such a professor or teacher, who cares so deeply about her students. She'll go above and beyond to elaborate concepts, or put in extra time with her students so that they can grasp a concept- and always maintains a light and positive mood for the class. The first few days might be a little overwhelming, but its worth it.

Comment:

Took her for physics 4a and it was the best decision I ever made. Physic is a science, and sciences are hard but prof. Meyer makes it easier for her students. Class have quizzes and hw which makes you to be prepared for the tests.

Makes you learn how to struggle efficiently. She sticks very well to her schedule of the class and her lectures are easy to follow through. Homework, tests, and quizzes are very hard but all similar. Extra help will be necessary to pass the class. Focus on understanding the homework.

Comment:

Makes you learn how to struggle. Physics is not an easy subject, but she will make you work for it and you will be a better student for it in the end. Her lectures are sometimes confusing, but that's why you should go to her office hours. If you read ahead, go to her office hours, and do well on the quizzes an A is possible.

This class was one of the hardest classes i have ever taken. her homework, quiz, test, and lab schedule is easy and structured. everything for the semester is laid out in an agenda. i attended her office hours every wednesday for 2 hours. she was more than helpful!! her vocabulary is a very high level and could be simplified for better clarity.

Comment:

The best professor I've had at Saddleback. She loves her craft and spends extra time sharing that with her students.Quizzes are similar to hwk so you know what to expect. Tests harder, but fair. She answers all questions thoroughly.Lectures fast, but hwk drives the concepts home (do hwk for A/B! Very interesting lecture/demo. You will not be bored!

The epitome of unprofessionalism. Gets stuck when solving problems in class and office hours even though she uses the same problems every semester. Needs student's manual to check her answers. Students in front row are always correcting her mistakes(algebra and conceptual); if it wasn't for them, the whole class'd be learning false concepts.

canales is a very passionate professor. She tries very hard and is a genuinely nice person. She's a little awkward, but it's kind of cute. She gets really into demos and tries to express enthusiasm about the subject. Consistent/fair grader. Gives lots of partial credit. work hard and go to her office hours and you will be just fine!

terrible. was only able to pass based on previous knowledge, even then it was the most frustrating class i've ever been in. aside from the grading being inconsistant, i felt insulted by the way she would speak to the class. do not take her.

Not a very helpful teacher, she talks very fast and goes through the tutorial too quickly, all of the tests are based on the tutorial, it is very hard to learn and she repeats questions many times. Very bad teacher, I do not reccomend

Amazing Professor!! Sooo nice and helpul!! She talks a little fast but very clear. I did not even buy the text book, did not need it at all. Tutorial book was sooo helpful and she emails you the power points. She really cares about her students!! I would take her for any class!! Deffinatly take her class if you are thinking about it!!!

possibly the best teacher ever. love her. hard subject, but she is in NO WAY a hard teacher to learn from. also, don't cheat. you need to learn how to think in physics to have a shot at passing the tests. she will help you even if she runs in to you outside of school and sees your working on homework. she is what every teacher should be!

She is an outstanding professor, true to her craft. @lectures she will give live demos, discussion of real life apps., solid example problems. But get ready to have your a** handed to you if you fall behind, physics is a difficult subject for EVERYONE so its natural to say she is also difficult, just hang in there and work hard.

Had 4a/b with her. Easy A... if you don't mind working your **** off. She has homework for every chapter which is VERY tedious. Took 4b over the summer to avoid retaking 4a/c at UCSB--HUGE mistake! She's super nice, helps out A TON. Take her if you might struggle. Take Hughes if 4a/3a weren't hard for you. Much less work, many lulz to be had.

Prof Canales works hard and expects you to do the same. She is enthusiastic about her job and really wants to help all her students to learn and succeed. Be warned: she is a very nitpicky grader who wants you to do everything exactly the way she says down to the last detail. If you can handle that and her frantic pace, she's outstanding.

Great teacher. I didn't go to her office hours all semester, because I didn't have to. Her system works so that, by the time you finish the homework, you have a clear understanding of all the material. And if you struggle with the homework, she makes herself extremely available to help you. Wish I coulda taken 4c w/ her. my 4c prof doesn't teach.
