Does not offer extra credit. Does not give specific instructions for the MANY assignments/projects due, then takes off ALOT of points for things you didn't know you were supposed to do. Should give rubric, but doesn't. Nice guy but horrible prof, would not recommend to anybody.

Cooper is a funny guy and great professor. His exams are difficult and his lectures are fast-paced, but he makes the code available online. Also, the programs used were either free or had free alternatives so don't let previous comments scare you away from M300.

Each class is made up of a fast-paced lecture for the hour scheduled, and an hour to two hours of uncredited lab time where he actually teaches the material. A harsh grader, and because he uses expensive programs, it is impossible to do the homework at home; unless you spend several thousand dollars, homework must be done in the class lab.

I had this professor for two classes. He knows his stuff, and expects his students to put in a lot of effort. He is not unreasonable. In general, I noticed the only people that did not like him are people that suck at programming and got mad when he wouldn't give them the code for matlab and maple assignments. I would recommend him to other student

I hate this guy. He will nit pick at every assignment and will take lots of points off for the most minor of mistakes. This class was fine until the Matlab sections. Cooper is unable to clearly teach this section and will give outrages homework assignments. Not to mention the fact that this teacher rubs people the wrong way.

Very funny guy! Great as an instructor as he keeps things interesting and enjoyable without sacrificing content. Exams are usually open book, so take lots of notes.
