He means well, but I do not recommend his class. He has a strong accent and will expect you to know the topics. His exam are hard and he only gives you an hour to finish it, which impossible. But he does curve A LOT!

really nice guy but terrible teacher. forgets that we don't have the same knowledge and experience he does. I learned everything from the textbook. HEAVY curve. failed every exam and finished class with a B

3 exams (85%) and 3 quizzes (15%). That's how your grade is determined. His lectures don't offer much if any value. Read the textbook and take the SI course if you want to pass. Or just take a different professor. Somehow I managed to get a B after getting 66% and 60% on the first 2 exams.

Extremely rough class, took this directly after 118 which I got an A in and in this class I have a C. Lectures drag on and he tends to over complicate everything. Exams are long and difficult, pretty much impossible to finish in the hour he gives us. If you do take this class buckle in because this class will eat away at your soul

Comment:

Every class is just a lecture for the entire time. His lectures are very hard to understand and can put you to sleep. He has pop quizzes but only says that to make you come to class. The quizzes are really the class before the tests. All of my learning and understanding of the material was done on my own outside of class.

This is one of the hardest business classes you'll have to take. He really isn't the best at explaining the material and you need... I repeat, you NEED to buy the book and do all the homework, as well as watch tutorials on Youtube to get a good grade in this class. You will not learn much from attending his lectures. Pop quizzes before every exam.

Moshirvaziri cares!! This class is notoriously difficult!! Any professor you have will be teaching the same material. It is the amount of time you spend on the class that will get you the grade you deserve. Do the HW and go to class. It will help you in the long run. Ask for help because it is easy to fall behind. Highly recommend :)

This is not an easy class so do not expect to get a good grade without putting in the work!! Professor Moshirvaziri is one of the utmost caring professor out there, he really wants all his students to do well. Attend class & do the homework, It'll really help you understand the concept. 3 Exams with formulas provided for each test.

Really intelligent individual; he really knows his material. Formula's are all provided on the test and he's honestly the sweetest professor. It's important to visit office hours if you're struggling because he'll take his time to answer any questions you have. 10/10 recommend taking his class!!! He really cares about his students.

Professor Moshirvaziri teaching is everywhere, you kind've get lost within his lectures because he doesn't have a set way of teaching the class, he basically just rambles. I took an SI for this class, and I learned more in that class than his class. His test are ridiculously long and HARD, I never got time to finish an exam, he repeats ?s on exam.

I am giving this review based on a summer course. Moshir is very kind. He will get carried away explaining concepts far from the subject's main course and discuss topics not even on the test. GO TO CLASS. He will give you cheat formulas during lecture that will make hw easier. (formulas will be provided on test). Great teacher :)

Very smart professor that can't share his knowledge. He teaches the class as if it's a grad class and admitted halfway through the course that he needs to be reminded that he's not at Stanford... He'll continue to lecture knowing that students have questions. And if you do have questions, don't bother asking because you will "interrupt" the class.

This is a tough subject so don't expect an easy A. He is helpful and wants his students to do well. Homework for every chapter but he only collects one assignment for the entire section. Provides formula sheets for exams. There are no surprise questions, study the material and collaborate with other students and you will do well.

Dont know my final grade but I believe I will get an A. Tests are like 90% of your grade so as long as you self-study and know how to use the formulas from Stat 108/118, you're solid. Says he grades on the bell curve of the class, so that can either make or break you depending on how smart your section is. Apparently much more helpful in office hrs

The class is rather fairly easy. Keep up with your homework and you will pass. Lectures are boring. He will NOT prepare you for the real world. Teaches this intro level class like a grad class. He teaches every detail of each equation and how it is derived. Wastes a lot of class time. Can't use stats calculator for a stats class. What?

He moves fast. He expects you to have taken Stat 108 at CSULB, not a C.C. Attendance is a must. Book is a must. Tests are curved. 90% tests, 6% HW, 4% attendance Save questions for after class or office hours He likes to talk about himself, Stanford, his wife, his published works, and his achievements a lot.

90% of your grades are based on exams, 6% hwk, & 4% attendance. If you're not a good test taker especially in math, I don't recommend this class. However, the exams are not that hard, but you only get 1 hr to complete 50 questions!!! He curves like crazy and the book he uses is good. Take advantage all the resources the book has to offer. Take him! Why? He offers all the resources to pass the class. All Hwk problems are posted online. Unfortunately, lectures are long and boring. You will spend a lot of time using the book and going through the solutions posted online. Exams are fair, leaning towards easy. Attendance is mandatory! 1% will be deducted from your overall grade.

Avoid this class, you won't learn with him. The only reason for attending class is to get the attendance points. Anything i learned in this class was 100% from the textbook.
