One of my favorite professors at UA. You need to put in the work, and if you do you'll be rewarded with more than an A. She helped teach us all to be critical thinkers and readers.

If you like English, you will love this class. As a science major, I wasn't prepared (nor did I have time for) all the readings and papers she gave us. She does want everyone in the class to succeed so she does let you redo assignments if you get low scores. If you want an A, be willing to put in the work!

She was a fantastic professor. This class had a lot of guest speakers and when there were not speakers, we would all just sit in class and talk about college and life as a class. Highly recommend her as a professor if you need to take an honors colloquium..

Really great teacher, she was like a mother to me. Her interest in us as students and general coolness made me want to come back every time. She told us she wasn't interested in stressing us, and as long as we showed up and didn't try to BS our way through, we were golden. An easy A, but not a push-over. Definitely someone to maintain contact with.

She really cares about her students. She's a great teacher. I had her for study abroad and it was super easy - we read Oliver Twist and Miss Lonleyhearts and they are both online for free so no need to buy them. She is kind of spacey so she can be unclear but she knows that. Not the best feedback on essay but I didn't a regular class.

She's really awesome. She's super funny and reminds me a lot of a family member. She cares mostly about the experience you get rather than the coursework itself, but in a good way. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Berry is one of the smartest professors I've ever had. I loved listening to her talk in class. Though you have to work hard to figure out what kind of an idea she wants you to write about, you will learn how to write a paper in this class.

If you are the kind of person who likes to be told what to do and wants a lecture course, don't take her courses. She doesn't want you to repeat what she says in class. But if you like to think on your own and you don't mind writing you will learn a lot/

Dr. Berry is interesting and funny in a subtle way. Her Human Rights Film class is designed as a discussion meant to give a lighter, different environment than what you'd find in lecture heavy classes. Her papers don't require much more than your analytical thoughts on the films. Her Honors Quest students seem to have a different experience, though

Perhaps others who have taken Honor's Quest versus another class did not get a real taste of what Dr. Berry is all about. Every interaction I have had with her has been personable and engaging. She really challenges students to push past their intellectual plateaus, which is the purpose of an Honor's experience. Definitely recommend.

Awful. Don't know a better way of saying it. She's one of these professors with a huge ego yet she doesn't do anything. You don't take anything away from this class at all, if anything I got worse at writing because she made it so difficult to know how to write for her. Honors quest shouldn't be offered again and dr berry should lose her job.

Every time I left lecture I had no clue what we talked about. It's mostly a class so Dr. Berry can talk in front of a class of "honors" students and talk about how great they are. Talked about vampires/twilight and such. Easy class, one of the worst ones. Made me lower my opinion of the UA honors college.

Dr. Berry Is looking for specific things but never tells you what she wants exactly. She changes her mind A LOT and expects you to read her mind. She is quite rude to some people too. AVOID THIS CLASS!! Everyone hates it and it's completely useless!

Dr. Berry is an interesting lady, but I wasn't so fond of this class. You will learn how to write a paper for real and how to compose an idea and an argument. There is a lot of reading but in the end you'll learn what you're required. There is a lot of work, but you'll most likely get an A if you just do it all. Try to make the best of it.
