I am now in Graduate school and Prof. Rompf class has remained at the very top of my "worst learning experiences ever" list. Before I took his class, I loved English. After taking his class, I switched my major to Chemistry . . . It has been over a decade and thinking of his class still makes me feel ill.

English is one of my best subjects but he made it uninteresting and very hard.He reads off an overhead the whole time.He ia a horrible teacher.He isn't helpful when aking questions and isnt clear on paper requirements.You might as well be in an online class.

I think Prof. Rompf has been great. All of his notes are available on Web/Ct so that eliminates note taking. He has been very helpful to the entire class. He has a quirky sense of humor, but at least he makes the task of learning something basic interesting.

I don't know what happened with all these other reviews, but I thought he was great. Papers weren't very difficult, and you do alot of in class work that helps you write each paper. He also does one on one conferences before each one is due, which really helps. He has a sarcastic, smart alec sense of humor. As long as you try you'll do fine

Take a minute and imagine the most demeaning man you can imagine, multiply it by 10 and you have Kraft Rompf. He literally puts students he does not favor in the corner of the classroom for being "disruptive" when they never said a word outside of questions directed at him. Grading is not explained, and if you ask, he will say youre disrespectful

Honestly the worst professor/class experience I have ever encountered. I have always excelled in English, and this teacher has made it impossible to score well. He deducts points with no explanation and if you ask for clarification he rudely dismisses you. Horrible at communication. Waste of my time. I would advise future students to avoid.

Professor Rompf English teacher i had. His work was challenging but if you asked questions, he answered them. Overall, his class was good. His side comments may make him sound like a prick but if you just ignore them, you will be fine.

Prof. Rompf is the worst teacher I ever had the pleasure of learning from. I hate Engl from the start but After having him not once but twice he made me hate it even more. My sister have him this semester and I am going to tell her to drop him and get another prof.

Mr. Rompf was not that bad. Usually people rate teachers so bad because they expect to slide by in class and barely work hard which im sure is the case here. Mr. Rompf is very fair in grading. & in class all you have to do is a bunch of exercises from the book . Also for all the papers he provides the sources so you dont have 2 look for your own!

My God, I had a nightmare after taking his class. His teaching was very boring (and still is, I believe), unfair grading, never gave any feedbacks, rude, arrogant, eats during the lecture, sarcastic, revengeful, and very grumpy, etc. I can go on and on about him, but please do not take him. And if you take him you better buy some anti-sleeping pill

HORRIBLE!! JUST HORRIBLE!! He makes you feel so bad about yourself when you're really trying your best. He puts down everything you say even when you know exactly what you're talking about. He acts like everything he says is 100% correct and you're just wrong. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! Get another professor!!

Best english teacher I have ever had. Gave away bonus points every day, class is based on point system not letters. Go everyday because he will be more lenient on your grade. Quizzes every week and there are no tests, rather 4 papers. Don't be afraid to write in his class, he wants to hear what you have to say.

Menacing is a word that comes to mind when describing this self-centered professor. He is rude, arrogant and quite egotistic. Students have 20 to 30 minutes to construct "a fully developed essay" each class period. His "paper projects" have very specific guidelines as to the topic matter, so there is no room to be creative. Take another professor.

Don't believe any of the other mad comments about this teacher. Yes, he mades you write everyday. But his essay topics aren't hard, he is funny, and he grades really easy. He is a great teacher, just come to class everyday (and if you miss a day, he lets you make up your points at the end of the semester or just earn Bonus Points).
